Airtight GI Joe Classified Series In Hand Images
Yo Joe! Huge thanks to Shark Eyes Toy View for his in hand review of the Airtight GI Joe Classified Series figure, giving us all a much closer look at this amazing figure! Airtight has always been one of those really cool deep cut characters from the original line, the Hostile Environment specialist who kept the Joes safe from Cobra’s chemical warfare nastiness, and seeing him finally get the Classified treatment is super exciting. I always loved the bright yellow and green color scheme on Airtight, it’s so distinctive and unlike anything else on the Joe roster, and from these in hand images it looks like Hasbro absolutely nailed that iconic look. The sculpt on that helmet and breathing apparatus is incredible, and I love how they managed to keep the vintage charm while giving him all the modern articulation and detail we’ve come to expect from the Classified Series. So let’s take a look at Airtight!
Armed with his sniffer device, Airtight holds the bulky detection weapon with its black hose trailing back toward the chest unit. The green boots and black kneepads round out the lower half of the figure nicely, and huge thanks to Shark Eyes Toy View for this great look at the figure.

You can watch his whole review video here:
Airtight’s packaging features the standard blue carbon-fiber patterned box with a clear window showcasing the figure and his accessories against a blue insert tray. The helmet, sniffer weapon parts, and firearms are all arranged around the figure inside the blister, giving a full preview of the included gear before opening.

Outfitted in his full yellow jumpsuit with olive green accents, Airtight cuts a clean silhouette with the chest harness and holstered gear on his belt. The olive gloves and boots tie the whole look together, keeping the color palette tight and cohesive from head to toe.

The sculpt on Airtight’s face shows sharp cheekbone and brow definition, with closely cropped brown hair and a serious expression. His yellow suit collar sits snugly beneath the jaw, with the black front zipper line running cleanly down the center of the chest.

A close-up of the chest unit shows the black monitoring device with its tiny blue and white screen readout alongside a small analog gauge at the bottom featuring red and white markings. The sculpt on the device includes molded dials, latches, and textured speaker grilles, and the olive straps securing it to his torso have a nice rugged look to them.

A close-up of Airtight’s chest harness shows the olive and black tactical vest with a small flip-open monitor on the front, featuring a green screen with white readout graphics. I like how they included that tiny printed detail on the screen, it adds a lot of character to the gear at this scale.

A close-up of the thigh area shows the sculpted holster strapped to Airtight’s right leg, finished in olive green with molded buckle and strap details. The yellow suit underneath has a nice textured, slightly wrinkled surface that gives it a rubbery, hazmat-material feel.

The back of the figure shows the green vest sitting flush against the yellow suit, with a small peg hole centered between the shoulder blades for backpack attachment. A black hose connects from the left side of the vest down toward the waist, and the sculpted belt features a squared-off buckle with green striping that matches the rest of the gear.

A close-up reveals the sculpt work on Airtight’s helmet, with its olive drab shell and black visor and respirator assembly. The vented mouthpiece and narrow slit visor have sharp, clean line work at this scale, and that head sculpt is really solid. You can see that the goggle part of the visor is translucent.

The included pistol rests in the palm of a hand, showing off its compact size and matte black finish with a sculpted trigger guard and slide detail. It’s a small piece, but the proportions look accurate for the scale. There is a blast port in the front if you want to attach any blast effects.

The black hose accessory is shown being flexed , demonstrating a nice degree of flexibility in the rubber-like material. Airtight stands in the background wearing his full yellow and olive getup, giving a sense of how the hose length scales to the figure.

Airtight’s backpack is finished in a uniform olive drab, with sculpted turbine fans inside each of the twin cylindrical intake ports on either side. The center ridge has ribbed texture detailing and a series of molded vents and panel lines across the lower section.

The detached backpack is held up next to the figure for a closer comparison with the 25th anniversary figure’s backpack. The sculpted detail on the back of the unit really comes through here, with its vented lower grille, central mounting peg, and fan turbine housings on each side. The black hose hangs loosely between the two, showing how it connects the pack to Airtight’s chest harness when fully assembled.

Airtight stands with his full accessory spread laid out beside him, including the olive green helmet, matching backpack, his hose, his sniffer device, and a smaller sidearm. I like seeing the complete loadout together like this, it really shows how well-equipped this figure is straight out of the box.

Here we can see Airtight all armed up.

From the back, Airtight’s yellow suit and olive green armor plating contrast nicely, with a black hose running from the backpack down to a connection point near his lower back. I like the look of the dark green shoulder pads and kneepads breaking up the yellow, keeping that classic color blocking intact.

The rear view shows Airtight held in hand with a second figure standing in the background wearing a matching yellow and olive color scheme. The black hose loops down from the backpack connection point, and the olive armor plating across the upper back has a nice matte finish that contrasts with the slightly glossy yellow of the suit sleeves.

A hands-on look at the ab crunch joint, showing the black ball peg that connects the upper and lower torso sections. The yellow plastic has a smooth, matte finish on the interior surfaces where the pieces separate, and the olive green waist piece sits firmly as the anchor point between the two halves. You can also see how good the backpack stays on.

The rear view of Airtight held in hand shows the twin black ribbed hoses running from the backpack up and over each shoulder, connecting into the chest harness on either side. Something I appreciate here is how the hoses have enough length and curve to sit naturally against the figure without looking stiff or forced.

Here we can see a comparison from the 25th Anniversary 3.75″ figure armed with his sniffer device, Airtight grips the weapon while we can compare to the Classified Series version in the foreground, showing off the detailed molded stock and barrel assembly. You can see that they both look very similar to each other.

A close-up of Airtight’s helmeted head and upper torso, with the olive green helmet’s black respirator hoses curling down on each side toward the collar area. The yellow suit peeks out beneath the green tactical vest, and you can just make out a hint of his face through the narrow visor slit. Here you can see that his helmet visor is translucent as you can see his eyes behind his helmet.

Airtight’s chest harness sits squarely over the bright yellow jumpsuit, with the black monitoring device centered between the olive vest panels. The dark hose running from his respirator curves down past the collar and tucks neatly against the side of the vest.

The olive backpack sits flush against Airtight’s yellow suit, with the black hose running in a wide loop from the pack down past the holstered pistol on his hip. The green striping on the belt and the dark knee pad break up the yellow nicely along the leg.

Airtight stands alongside the 25th Anniversary 3.75-inch original for a nice scale comparison, and it’s cool to see how faithfully the Classified version carries over the yellow and olive green color scheme. The sniffer accessory rests nearby, with its long black hose connecting back to the figure’s gear.

Sporting his full gear loadout, Airtight holds his sniffer weapon at his side with the black hose looping up and connecting to the large olive backpack unit mounted on his shoulders. His unmasked head sculpt gives the figure a different feel from the helmeted look, with a clean hairline and a focused expression.

Three figures stand side by side, with Airtight in the center flanked by Crankcase on the left and Leatherneck on the right. The scale between all three looks consistent, and Airtight’s bright yellow and olive suit really pops next to the earth-toned outfits of his teammates.

Airtight is posed holding his rifle while wearing the full helmet, with the hose attached from chest unit to weapon. The chest panel features sculpted dials, vents, and screen details that add layered texture to the torso.

The rear view emphasizes the large green backpack with molded vents and connection points, with the flexible hose running from the pack to the front of the suit. Black elbow pads and the sculpted folds in the suit are clearly visible from this angle.

Airtight is looking oh so cool in his dio shot!
