Alien Queen Hot Toys Aliens 40th Anniversary Official Images + Power Loaded Teased

Hot Toys has finally pulled back the curtain on their 1/6th scale Alien Queen, and this thing is an absolute beast. Standing approximately 53cm tall and stretching 110cm long, this figure is built to dominate any shelf it sits on, and it arrives just in time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of James Cameron’s Aliens, a milestone that Hot Toys has been leaning into heavily with their recently revealed 40th anniversary lineup. The level of detail here is staggering, from the full cranial crest on the newly developed head sculpt down to the high-density bio-mechanical skin texture across that massive body. You get two interchangeable face parts, one with an articulated jaw and one with an opened mouth, both featuring transparent teeth and a magnetically retractable inner jaw, which is exactly the kind of engineering you want to see at this scale and price point. Over 30 points of articulation, six interchangeable claws for the primary arms, a pair of claws for the secondary chest arms, a highly poseable bendable tail with embedded wire, six articulated dorsal spines, a Xenomorph egg, and a resin-themed diorama base round out what is shaping up to be one of the most impressive Alien collectibles Hot Toys has ever produced. We’ve already gotten a closer look at the Alien Warrior through Hong Kong Comic Con booth images, and with NECA also getting in on the anniversary action with their own Alien 40th anniversary reissues, it’s a great time to be a Xenomorph fan. But here’s what really caught my eye in the official images: there’s a tease of the Power Loader in the background, and if Hot Toys follows through on that, we could be looking at one of the most iconic sci-fi display setups ever produced in 1/6th scale. Ripley strapped into the Power Loader going toe-to-toe with the Queen is the scene, and collectors have been dreaming about that pairing for years. Nothing confirmed yet on that front, but the tease alone is enough to keep the hype building. This is how you celebrate 40 years of one of the greatest sci-fi sequels ever made.

This promotional collage for the Alien Queen showcases the figure from multiple angles alongside close-ups of her key features, including two interchangeable face parts with an opened mouth and an articulated jaw, six interchangeable claws for the primary arms, a bendable wire-embedded tail, and a Xenomorph egg. The bio-mechanical skin texture across the body carries deeply carved ridges and layered surface detail, and that full cranial crest is massive.

The Alien Queen towers over a Xenomorph Warrior and Ripley, giving a clear sense of her sheer scale against standard 1/6th figures. An Ovomorph sits on the base between the three pieces, its textured surface covered in organic ridging.

The Alien Queen is mounted on a sculpted resin diorama base covered in organic hive texturing, with an Ovomorph nestled into the surface beside a support stand. Several interchangeable claws are laid out around the base, each with finely segmented finger joints and sharp tapered tips.

The Alien Queen’s segmented tail curls back in a long arc, its vertebrae-like ridges running the full length down to a pointed tip. Six articulated dorsal spines extend from the back of her torso, each one tapering to a sharp point.

Her inner jaw extends from the opened mouth, its small secondary teeth tightly packed along a textured, organic stalk. The outer jaw’s teeth are long, curved, and individually sculpted with a glossy finish that contrasts with the matte, vein-covered skin surrounding the mouth.

The Alien Queen’s massive cranial crest dominates the frame, its broad, shield-like form covered in fine ridged texturing that extends across the entire surface. The smaller secondary chest arms are tucked beneath the ribcage area, their thin, segmented structure and sharp claw tips contrasting with the bulk of the primary limbs.

The ribcage section is packed with layered, biomechanical detail, with tightly stacked ridges and coiled tubing running between each segment. Her primary arms end in long, multi-jointed claws with sharp, curved tips that taper to fine points.

The two interchangeable face parts are shown side by side here, with the upper shot featuring the closed articulated jaw and the lower shot showing the opened mouth with the inner jaw deployed. Each face part has individually sculpted teeth with a glossy, wet-looking finish, and the surrounding gum tissue is packed with veiny, organic texturing.

The tease depicts the Alien Queen locked in combat with Ripley in the Power Loader, recreating the iconic climax from the film. The yellow Power Loader’s weathered hull and colored hydraulic lines contrast sharply against the Queen’s dark, bio-mechanical frame and sweeping cranial crest. We hope that is coming next!
