Up, up, and away! Wave 2 of the DC Comics 6 inch Core line has just landed on Target’s system! They are not live yet for preorder, but when they do, we will be sure to let you know. We covered DC Comics 6 inch Core Wave 1 on Target not too long ago, and now the follow-up wave is here with some really cool additions to the lineup. At just $12.99 each, these 6.5-inch figures pack in 22 points of articulation and come loaded with accessories, which is an amazing value for what you’re getting. This wave brings us a Superman with a brushed tricot fabric cape, armor pieces, a break-apart metallic girder, and a broken metallic chain. I love how they’re giving Supes some creative storytelling accessories at this price point. Then we’ve got not one but two Batman figures. The first is a Stealth Suit Batman with a fabric cape and a massive arsenal including a weapons rack, Batarangs, throwing stars, a dagger, handcuffs, and double-bladed Bo Staffs. That accessories count is wild. The second Batman is a “Jokerized” version rocking a purple suit and an evil Joker grin, complete with glow-in-the-dark battle accessories and 3 mind control masks. How fun is that?! Rounding out the wave is John Stewart as Green Lantern, and I just love seeing John get some love in this line. He comes with chest, back and shoulder armor, 2 blasters, and an armored gauntlet construct, all looking super cool in that classic green-and-black suit with the signature ring. All four figures are available for preorder now on Target!, and at $12.99 each they’re a really easy pickup. So let’s take a look at DC Comics 6 inch Core Wave 2 on Target!!
Where to Buy
You can preorder the figures at the following retailers below

DC Comics 6″ Core Superman
Superman comes with a solid accessory sprue in a metallic gunmetal finish, and you can make out the break-apart girder, broken chain with thick individual links, and what looks like chest and shoulder armor pieces all still on the runner. The S-shield on his chest has a crisp yellow and red deco that contrasts beautifully against that saturated blue suit, and his red trunks and matching boots keep the look firmly classic.

Superman’s fabric cape has a rich, deep red that drapes with real body and weight, and you can see how the brushed tricot material gives it a slightly textured finish that catches differently than a smooth satin would. The broken chain has thick, individually sculpted links in that same gunmetal finish as the girder, and it’s got a satisfying chunky feel that really sells the “just snapped this off something” moment.

Superman’s head sculpt has a strong, square jawline and a determined expression, with his black hair swept back in that classic spit curl falling just above the brow. I like how the red collar sits snugly around his neck as a separate sculpted piece, giving the cape attachment a layered look where fabric meets plastic.

Superman’s yellow belt has a clean, rectangular buckle that breaks up the transition between the blue suit and red trunks with a simple, classic design. His fists are sculpted with a tight, clenched grip, and those red boots have a smooth, glossy finish that runs all the way up to just below the knee.

You can see how Superman feels in hand here, and the gunmetal shoulder and chest armor snaps on with a solid fit, adding a bulkier, armored silhouette that changes up his look considerably. Those 22 points of articulation really come through when you’re swooshing him around, with smooth joints at the elbows and knees that hold position without feeling loose.

DC Comics 6″ Core Jokerized Batman
Jokerized Batman is a wild one, with his entire suit recolored in a vibrant purple and blue palette, accented by neon green stitching details that run across the arms, torso, and legs like something is literally tearing through the costume. The oversized glow-in-the-dark fist construct and that jagged lightning bolt accessory add a chaotic, unhinged energy, and that wide Joker grin beneath the cowl with glowing green eyes is genuinely unsettling.

Here’s a good sense of Jokerized Batman’s scale, and you can see those three “mind control” masks sculpted onto his gauntlets, each one shaped with jagged, claw-like prongs that look suitably menacing. The yellow utility belt has a slightly different tone here than on the standard Batman, leaning a touch more lime-green to match the Jokerized color scheme throughout the rest of the figure.

Jokerized Batman’s accessory load is genuinely impressive, with the entire mint-green sprue packed with glow-in-the-dark pieces including batarangs, a boxing glove attachment, handcuffs, and what appear to be two bomb-like devices with sculpted dials and pressure gauges. The three swap-out masks sitting above the sprue each have their own distinct personality, from the bright green face with wild eyes to a sinister half-white, half-black split face with a red grin.

Clad in that striking purple and blue suit, Jokerized Batman is gripping the grapnel gun, which here matches the figure’s twisted palette with its purple and green coloring rather than the gold version included with the standard release. The fabric cape flows behind him with real weight and movement, and those green stitch marks scattered across the biceps and forearms look like Joker toxin is cracking through the suit from underneath.

DC Comics 6″ Core Batman
Here’s a closer look at everything you get with Batman, and it’s a lot for this price point. The full spread includes the figure with his fabric cape, a blue weapons rack with multiple clip points, and a gold accessory sprue loaded with Batarangs, throwing stars, a dagger, handcuffs, and two double-bladed bo staffs.

Batman’s suit has a great tonal interplay between the deep black torso and the dark blue-grey that runs through his cowl, gloves, and boots. The gold Batarang he’s gripping has a nice angular, almost serrated sculpt, and those fin-like blades on the gauntlet add a sharp little detail to the forearm.

You can see how the figure feels in hand here, and at 6.5 inches he fills out a palm nicely with a solid, chunky weight to him. The fabric cape drapes and folds naturally between the fingers, and that yellow bat emblem on the chest with its thin outlined edges really pops against the dark suit.

I like how the utility belt is sculpted with individual pouches and a chunky square buckle, all in that same gold tone that ties it together with the Batarangs and chest emblem. The cape’s scalloped hem has those deep, jagged bat-wing points cut into the fabric, which is a really nice touch for a figure at this price.

Armed with that gold grapnel gun, Batman’s got a really satisfying amount of gear to work with, and the sculpted detailing on the weapon itself has some nice mechanical texture. I noticed that the cowl’s pointed ears have a sharp, clean taper to them that keeps the silhouette looking classic.

DC Comics 6″ Core Green Lantern
Here we have Jon Stewart Green Lantern. The full accessory sprue is all translucent green plastic and it’s packed, with what looks like two blasters, shoulder armor pieces, an armored gauntlet construct, and a chest and back plate, all still on the runner. Something I appreciate here is how the armor pieces have a layered, tech-heavy sculpt with vents and paneling that should look fantastic once snapped off and fitted onto the figure.

Green Lantern’s suit splits cleanly between a glossy black lower half and those rich green shoulders, with the Lantern Corps emblem sitting front and center in white and green. I like how the power ring is actually sculpted onto his finger as a tiny, distinct green band rather than just being suggested through paint.

Here’s a good sense of John Stewart’s scale, and he fills out the hand with a reassuring heft at 6.5 inches. The translucent green blaster construct has a chunky, military-grade sculpt with layered barrel segments and mechanical ribbing that leans into his Marine background.

Outfitted with the translucent green blaster construct, you can really appreciate the size of this thing, it’s nearly as long as John Stewart’s torso and has a satisfying, oversized presence. His boots have a metallic green sheen with treaded soles sculpted along the bottom, adding a subtle military detail that pairs well with the construct’s tactical design.

John Stewart’s head sculpt has a focused, determined expression with sharp cheekbones and a clean-lined fade haircut that reads really well for the character. The green portions of his suit, from the shoulders down through the boots, have a slightly pearlescent finish that contrasts nicely against the matte black sections of the torso and thighs.
