2022 was a great year for MOTU Origins! We saw Waves 7 through 11 get released, building out the Masters of the Universe Origins line even further. We even saw the Rise of the Snake Men Wave hit 2022, which was supposed to be released in 2023! MOTU Origins Wave 11

This wave consisted of the long anticipated Rise of the Snake Men wave, which included Bolt-Man, Snake Armor He-Man, Kobra Khan, and Ratlor! The deluxes figures of King Hiss and Thunder Punch He-Man were also added to the line in 2022, although they were slotted for a 2023 release.

Eternia Playset

Although not set release until 2024, we did see the Eternia Playset go up for preorder! Our minds were literally blown when the Eternia Playset was seemingly leaked ahead of preview night at San Diego Comic Con so we spent hours scouring Instragram and Twitter for the best of the best photos of this iconic piece of MOTU history! Who better to walk us through this glorious playset than Skeletor himself! As a side note, Skeletor got everyone up to speed on the SDCC Mattel reveals last MOTUesday in a very creative presentation! This must be how Skeletor presents his plans for Eternia domination, but we digress! The Mattel booth was filled with 6 display cases but the one that stole the show was the literal centerpiece, Eternia! Set off in a large battleground display, this playset made a massive footprint and impact on the people that got to see it live and the ones that were watching from a far. The display case featured a wasteland of Eternian carnage that featured the Masters of the Universe taking on not only Skeletor, but the infamous Snake Men.
