Grand Slam is officially joining the GI Classified Series Line in 2026

Yo Joe! Huge thanks to @bmacatron84 for posting this one on their Instagram stories because boy are we thrilled to share this news with you all. Grand Slam is officially joining the GI Joe Classified Series line in 2026! Now here’s where it gets really interesting for us Joe fans. We don’t know yet which version of Grand Slam we’re getting. Will it be the Silver Pads Grand Slam rocking that iconic Jump Jetpack, or will Hasbro go with the regular Grand Slam paired with the Heavy Artillery Laser, the legendary HAL? Only time will tell. But the fact that Grand Slam is coming to the Classified line in some capacity this year is super exciting news no matter which direction they take him. I always loved Grand Slam as part of that original 1982 lineup, and seeing Hasbro continue to dig into those early roster Joes for the Classified Series just makes my collector heart so happy. The fact that we’re still getting these classic characters given the premium Classified treatment in 2026 shows just how much love there is for Real American Hero era deep cut characters, and I can’t be more excited to see how he turns out. With Yo Joe June coming up, we will be soon to find out, but in the meantime, let’s take a look at what we know so far about Grand Slam as we look forward to him coming to the GI Joe Classified Series!

Jet Pack (JUMP) Silverpads Grand Slam

The vintage Jet Pack (JUMP) packaging features bold card art of Grand Slam in his silver-padded uniform, soaring over the included launch pad and command console. The figure is displayed in the blister on the right side of the box, sealed in his classic dark grey and silver gear. We already have the Jump Jetpack in Classified Series, so it would be easy enough to create the rest of the platform and a Silver Pads version!

The loose Jet Pack (JUMP) set gives a good look at the olive drab launch pad, complete with its white circle markings and “United States” print along the front edge. Grand Slam stands alongside it wearing his dark grey uniform with silver chest padding, the jet pack unit mounted on his back with its twin tubes and hose detailing.

Grand Slam stands on the olive drab equipment platform from the JUMP set, with a rifle and additional gear pieces laid out on the surface below him. His black gloves and boots contrast with the grey and silver tones of his body armor, keeping the look consistent with the Jet Pack variant’s color palette.

The platform from the JUMP set has a nice chunky sculpt on the support legs and side fins, all cast in that same olive drab green. Grand Slam’s smooth grey helmet and minimal deco on the head sculpt are a good match for the vintage look of the original figure.

Heavy Artillery Laser (HAL) with Grand Slam

The Heavy Artillery Laser (HAL) packaging showcases artwork of the olive drab laser cannon mounted on a wheeled trailer, with Grand Slam seated behind the controls firing a beam across a desert setting. The included Grand Slam figure sits in the blister window on the right, wearing his red and black uniform, a different look from the silver-padded version seen with the JUMP.

The Heavy Artillery Laser (HAL) is a substantial piece of hardware, with its twin-barrel cannon, wheeled trailer base, and fold-out stabilizer legs all finished in olive drab green. Grand Slam’s red and black HAL variant stands beside it with his file card and a few loose accessories, including what looks like a dark maroon cockpit shield and a silver helmet. How cool would it be to get this version? The Hasbro team is no stranger to making smaller accessory pieces like this!

Outfitted with red quilted padding on his chest, upper arms, and knees, this version of Grand Slam sports the black and red color scheme associated with the HAL variant. He wears a grey helmet and has a stern expression on the sculpt, with silver trim framing the chest armor panels.
