Huge thanks to Shark Eyes Toy View on YouTube for posting an in hand review of the new Major Bludd v2 GI Joe Classified Series figure as we get to see some in hand images. This new version of Major Bludd is a vast improvement on the original Viper Island version, with incredible new paint apps and details. For the most part, he seems to be a repaint, but a really great upgrade. We will compare the two. Here we can see some close ups of Major Bludd’s face. The details on his face sculpt look great and the updated paint apps really bring him to life.

Comparison to Viper Island Original Version

Shark Eyes Toy View on YouTube also compared the original Viper Island version of Major Bludd with this new V2 version. At first glance, their sculpts seem to look identical but with updated paint applications. The face sculpts, chest armor and leg and boots look the same. Let’s take a close look at the various areas around the figure to really compare the two.

Taking a look at the chest armor, they seem to look identical in sculpt but the new version has a ton more detailed paint applications and effects that make it look much better. The red accents in the recesses look great. You can also see the added silver accents on the worn edges also help to bring additional detail effects to the chest armor. Where the original one looks more plastically and flat.

The looking at the blaster holster, they look the same but are different colored plastic, but the new one has an added silver detail around it which makes it look much better. The back of the chest armor includes a lot more paint apps as well which really give it an enhanced look.

Major Bludd

This version of Major Bludd looks very similar to his Cobra Island release and even comes with the same packout, which includes his dog tags, helmet, backpack, and array of weapons.

He is packed without his helmet on and he features a cool scene with flames in the background and cool shot of the SNAKE Armor.

With the red accents on Major Bludd’s design, it really brings out the details!

The details on Major Bludd really stand out in this repaint! He has a different buck that hides his pins so that is definitely an upgrade.

He looks great with his helmet on and armed to the teeth!

Major Bludd is always looking for next victim maybe Snake Eyes and him will “run” into each other.
