Mer-Man Masterverse Vintage Collection Hi-Res Art Reveal
Roy Juarez and team have officially pulled back the curtain on the packaging art for the Mer-Man Masterverse Vintage Collection figure, and as someone who lives for this side of the hobby, I have to say it is incredibly satisfying to finally see the artwork presented clean and unobstructed, without logos, callouts, or text competing for attention, especially after we previously reported on the box itself surfacing on eBay where collectors first got a look at the figure inside the packaging and the overall layout of the release. That earlier eBay find gave us an important early peek and confirmed that this figure was real and already making its way into the wild, but this official reveal feels like the proper follow up, letting the art breathe and really show off what went into this release from a visual storytelling standpoint. The illustration leans hard into classic Masters of the Universe energy while still fitting neatly into the Masterverse Vintage Collection aesthetic, and it is always fascinating to see how these modern releases balance nostalgia with updated presentation. Seeing the art without any text also makes it easier to appreciate the composition, character placement, and overall mood, which is something packaging art fans will absolutely zero in on. Huge credit goes to Roy Juarez and the team for delivering artwork that feels purposeful and intentional, especially knowing how closely collectors scrutinize these details. With the in-box images already documented and now the full art revealed officially, this feels like the final piece of the puzzle before Mer-Man fully hits shelves, and it is another great example of why the Masterverse Vintage Collection packaging continues to be such a strong draw for collectors who care just as much about the box as the figure inside. Roy revealed the art in an Instagram post:
Here is a 360 degree view of the packaging!
The figure is framed inside the box with teal skin, yellow armor pieces, and orange details clearly visible through the window. I’m drawn to how the colors contrast against the darker, more chaotic artwork that wraps around the packaging.

Mer Man is shown swimming forward with his sword extended, legs kicked back as bubbles trail behind him. I like how the surrounding sea creatures and angled weapon give the scene a strong sense of motion, like he’s slicing straight through the water.

Mer Man twists mid swim while gripping the trident with both hands as fish dart across the scene. The angled body and downward trident make it feel like he’s closing in on a target just outside the frame.

The artwork pulls back to reveal a larger underwater environment with Beast Man carrying Teela back into Castle Grayskull among rocky formations. I like how this adds scale to the scene and places Mer Man within a broader moments in the scene.

You can also see an up close view of Skeletor inserting the Power Sword into Castle Grayskull to open the door.
