MOTU Core Wave 3 In-Package First Look

We’ve been keeping an eye on this one and it didn’t take long at all for in-package images to surface for the MOTU Core Wave 3 figures, giving collectors a much closer look at He-Man and Man-At-Arms before they officially hit shelves. These two were part of that massive April 25, 2025 onslaught of preorders, and going from preorder listings to in-package photos this quickly is a pleasant surprise that lets us start comparing notes early. The discovery came through an eBay listing from the same seller who also had the MOTU Origins Movie Roboto we recently spotted, and while we’ll keep that source nameless, the images speak for themselves. What’s especially interesting here is how Man-At-Arms compares to the version we just reviewed in the Amazon Exclusive MOTU Core 4-Pack, because there appear to be some noticeable differences in the paint application between the two, which is exactly the kind of detail that makes these core assortment releases worth paying attention to even when you think you already have the character covered. He-Man and Man-At-Arms share this wave with Beast Man, who originally kicked off Wave 1, so it’s cool to see him continuing to rotate through the core lineup alongside Eternia’s heavy hitters. Feast your eyes on the in-package shots and let us know if you’re spotting the same deco differences we are.
Waves 3 and 4
The @mastersmovie handle dropped reels showcasing the full Masters of the Universe Core Figure Assortment lineup, and it’s a lot to take in. The spread covers the figures that went live today alongside first looks at the Wave 3 and Wave 4 additions, including Man-At-Arms, Tri-Klops, Ram Man, and new versions of He-Man, Teela, and Skeletor, plus larger items like Battle Cat, the Roton, a Sky Sled set, and a scaled Power Sword prop.

Where to Buy

He-Man
The card art blends a fiery orange-to-purple cosmic gradient with painted portraits of He-Man and Skeletor flanking the blister. Inside the packaging, He-Man sports tribal war paint markings across his arms and torso, giving this version a grittier, more battle-worn look compared to the standard release. His Power Sword is packed alongside him with a noticeably darker wrap around the hilt, and next to it sits a grappling hook accessory, which is a super cool inclusion for this wave.

The back of the card features a painted Eternian landscape with Castle Grayskull in the distance, and includes a bio panel for He-Man listing his stat bars for Strength, Combat, Intelligence, Magic, and Stealth. The cross-sell artwork shows Beast Man and Man-At-Arms, confirming this is essentially a two-figure wave since Beast Man originally launched back in Wave 1.

Man-At-Arms leans into his classic styling with a more vintage-toned look, trading the darker, more muted palette of the 4-Pack version for warmer copper and teal tones on his armor and bodysuit. A mace and blaster are packed alongside him, and that portrait in the lower corner of the card captures the character’s grizzled veteran energy nicely.

The back of the card features a bio panel for Man-At-Arms describing him as a tech expert and warrior, with stat bars for Strength, Combat, Intelligence, Tech, and Armor, where Tech and Intelligence are maxed out. This is his first single carded release, as version 1 was only available in the recently released Amazon exclusive MOTU Core 4-Pack, so it’s great to finally see him get his own card with cross-sell photos of He-Man and Beast Man rounding out the wave.
