Spider-Man Mego 8” Action Figure Set 2 – World’s Greatest Super-Heroes

The front of the packaging looks incredible with illustrations of each of the figures below! I think it’s neat that each figure gets its own individual vintage-style window box nestled inside the outer slip case. A gold metallic coin sits centered below the figures, flanked by classic comic-style character art of Mysterio, Dr. Octopus, and Rhino.

The back of the box features a lime green layout with a group photo of all four figures posed together. It’s a fun throwback design that leans into that classic Mego presentation, with the “World’s Greatest Super-Heroes” banner anchoring the lower left corner in bold red and white.

Here’s a closer look at all four figures out of the box, and you can see how the silkscreen stretch costumes really sell that vintage Mego feel across the whole lineup. Symbiote Spider-Man’s black suit carries a crisp white spider emblem, Mysterio’s green grid-patterned bodysuit pairs with a purple cape and that smooth white fishbowl dome, Doctor Octopus sports silver mechanical tentacles with claw tips against his green and orange outfit, and Rhino rounds things out in a gray suit topped with a sculpted horn headpiece.

Here’s a look at the back of the lineup, and you can see how the white spider emblem on Symbiote Spider-Man wraps around with those jagged legs fanning out across the shoulders. Doctor Octopus’s four silver tentacles connect through a central harness on his back, each one curving outward with its own sculpted claw tip, while Mysterio’s purple cape drapes with a nice weight and Rhino’s gray fabric suit has a soft, almost plush-like texture to it.

Symbiote Spider-Man’s black fabric suit looks especially clean up close, with the white spider emblem printed large enough to dominate the torso without losing any of its sharp, angular leg details. Mysterio’s green bodysuit features that tight grid pattern woven right into the fabric, and his bright green gauntlets have a sculpted webbing texture on them that I hadn’t noticed until getting this close.

Doctor Octopus’s head sculpt nails that smug, toothy grin, and the brown bowl-cut hair paired with pale blue tinted goggles is such a perfectly vintage interpretation of Otto. Rhino’s gray headpiece wraps around his face with sculpted folds and a white horn tip, and those gray hands match the suit’s tone while contrasting nicely against his exposed skin-toned grimace.

Here’s a closer look at the collectible metallic coin included with the set, and it features a raised relief of Spider-Man in a classic web-shooting pose with “The Spectacular Spider-Man” stamped around the outer rim. The gold finish gives it a nice heft visually, and the sunburst lines radiating outward behind the figure add a great retro comic book energy to the sculpted design.
