“When one chooses to walk the way of the Mandalore, you are both hunter and prey.”
The Armorer was a female Mandalorian Armorer from Mandalore who led the Tribe, a part of the Children of the Watch, during the New Republic Era. Following the Galactic Empire’s Great Purge of Mandalore, she resided with the Tribe in a covert on the planet Nevarro, where she forged armor and weapons for her fellow Mandalorians.
Box and Art
The box front features a stunning pose and is of the actual figure itself! She is shown crossing her hammer and tongs, vital tools (and weapons) she uses to forge the armor and weapons of the Mandalorians. The back of the box features text and credits!
The sides of the box feature a wraparound Armorer in a different pose where she is holding her hammer and it is a raised sticker photograph of her and is on a slightly different plane than the box.
Inside of Box
Inside of the box you will find her shielded in plastic and her impressive packout. You will also find another photograph of the figure holding her tools she uses to forge armor and weapons that was initially covering the packout. On the back, you will find the backdrop encased in a plastic bag for protection.
The figure feels relatively heavy and study and she looks absolute beautiful. The paint application and the finer details are second to none! She features her gold helmet, her real fur hair cape, a cranberry red armor, and her leather looking clothing. The materials and fits and finishes look amazing!
Getting a closer look at her upper body, she features her classic helmet and armor and, on the back, her fur cape has is made of real strands of hairlike material. She does have another price of armor on her back, but this is covered by the fur cape.
The helmet is completely new sculpt and it has a nice paint wash and pitting on the surface. On the back, you can also see a patina like wash that looks like metal. The visor is a separate glossy piece and she has horns on the top of her helmet.
The armor features a cranberry red / copper material that picks up the light nicely. There is also that same patina and texture on the surface, just like her helmet. It also has a pitting and the wash in the crevices make it look like real armor. She also has faux leather shoulder pieces that bend and flex and don’t impede her articulation.
Her gloves and gauntlets also look like leather but it is fully sculpted plastic. The way they sculpted the piece makes it look real and there is a wash and fading to the look of it.
Her skirt piece also looks like real leather and she also has a leather looking belt with sculpted on pieces. The skirt is thick and chunky and feels very sturdy!
Her flight suit is made of fabric and has a charcoal / dark brown coloring to them. They are dirty and grimy and have a nice level of brown tones to them. The boot have spats covering them and they have an ecstatic piece that goes under the shoe to keep them on.
She comes with a plethora of accessories that were seen in The Mandalorian Disney+ series, which include:
- Battle damaged Mandalorian chest armor
- Piece of Beskar
- Pair of tongs
- Themed backdrop
- Figure stand with Star Wars logo and character nameplate
Her forging and smelting tools were a centerpiece in the series and the ladle features a metled piece of beskar and the hammer and tongs also features a worn look to them. The smelting tongs are workable and cal actually hold the beskar imperial credit, which is an incorrect logo. The welding tool features a nice texture on the black handle and the paint app is the same as her other tools. She comes with an array of hands and only comes with one extra right hand while the other hands go on her left. The gloves are very detailed and go along with her guantlet.
The accessories are amazing and feature a look of real beskar complete with pitting and have an aged and worn look to them. This is the exact steel piece that is found on the Mandalorian. The paint application is stunning and looks like it has been ripped from the series.
The figure base is the standard Star Wars style with the grate but it’s a much more dingier base that has a burnt copper look, which is very apropos for The Armorer. The name, The Armorer, is set off on a metallic silver name plate.
The Armorer looks amazing holding her tools and you can pose her however you like!
The backdrop looks amazing! In it’s closed form, it looks like a door with a control panel and it has a faintly painted Mythosaur skull in red.
When you open it up, you see the inside of her tool cupboard. When you have her posed, it will look like she is actually in her forge.
The way the she can hold her tools and can be posed makes it looks like she is actually forging the armor.
We are really impressed with this Hot Toys Toyfare Exclusive the Armorer and she would look amazing on your shelf next to your other Hot Toys Star Wars figures.
