With the addition of Boba Fett, we get 4 Mandalorian style figures, a Jedi, and an Imperial trooper so let’s take a look at this great wave! Before we delve into the review and photos, we wanted to send a special thanks to Entertainment Earth for providing these Wave 6 figures for our review.
The Mandalorian Wave 2
The Wave 2 Star Wars Retro Collection figures from the Mandalorian sub line includes 6 individually packaged action figures on vintage style packing:
- The Mandalorian (Beskar)
- The Armorer
- Imperial Death Trooper
- Ahsoka Tano
- Bo-Katan Kryze
- Boba Fett (Morak)
The Mandalorian (Beskar)
The Mandalorian in his Beskar armor comes packed on the vintage style Retro Collection card with an image of him from the series!
This version of the Mandalorian comes from his look when he melted down his pile of Beskar to complete his sleek, silver armor look! He comes with a soft goods cape, which is a nice touch and usually reserved for more premium looking figures. The touch of blue around his left knee adds a splash of color to the figure. He comes backed with his long blaster rifle and a small blaster.
The Armorer comes packed on the vintage style Retro Collection card with an image of her from the series! This particular image comes from her forge in Navaro.
The Armorer is an interesting character and she is commemorated by her gold helmet and red chest armor! Like the Mandalorian, she comes with a soft goods fur cloak that only covers her back, which adds a nice texture to the figure. She was the one who forged the Mandalorian’s Beskar into armor and she comes packed with her two forging tools, which are a hammer and a a set of tongs.
Imperial Death Trooper
The Imperial Death Trooper comes packed on the vintage style Retro Collection card with an image of him from the series!
The Imperial Death Trooper is an all black version of an updated Stormtrooper with green eyes with a splash of green on his induction filters on his helmet. He has a more bulkier look than a standard Stormtrooper and has a splash of silver on his belt buckle and his left forearm. For being an all black figure, the sculpt really stands out and is one of the more cooler looking Stormtrooper type figures. He also comes packed with a black, retro style blaster.
Ahsoka Tano comes packed on the vintage style Retro Collection card with an image of her posed from the series!
It is amazing to see Ahsoka in a retro style figure as you can imagine what she could have looked like as a figure from the 80’s. She has her classic white markings on her face, orange skin, and her white/blue headdress. She is wearing an all gray outfit and she comes packed with two white lightsabers that are different sizes.
Bo-Katan Kryze comes packed on the vintage style Retro Collection card with an image of her posed from the series!
Bo-Katan Kryze was a Mandalorian human female born into House Kryze. Over her life, she became a lieutenant in the Death Watch terrorist group, the commanding officer of its Nite Owls subdivision, the leader of the Mandalore resistance, and even the Mand’alor who laid claim over all of her homeworld, the planet Mandalore. She comes in her classic blue and gray armor with her signature markings on her helmet. She comes packed with a pair of small blasters.
Boba Fett (Morak)
Boba Fett comes packed on the vintage style Retro Collection card with an image of him posed from the series on Morak.
Morak was a jungle planet inhabited by humans. The planet served as a secret mining hub for the Galactic Empire, which processed rhydonium in a secret refinery, which was tightly guarded by shoretroopers and stormtroopers. It is on Morak where the Mandalorian has a run in with Boba Fett. After using the armor’s chain code to prove his ownership of it to Djarin, Fett and Shand agreed to help Djarin rescue Grogu, saying the child’s abduction meant they were still indebted to him to ensure Grogu’s safety. This version of Boba Fett is the updated sculpt and coloring from his appearance in the Mandalorian Season 2 and the Book of Boba Fett. The armor is a nice avocado green and and he is wearing flowing black pants and a shirt under his armor. He comes backed with his classic rifle and a small blaster.
