Wave 2 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection In-Hand Images
Huge thanks to Masterveral Toyhunter for the heads up, because I about jumped out of my chair when I heard that the 200x Masters of the Universe Origins Cartoon Collection Wave 2 has officially been spotted in the wild at Big W in Ballarat by a collector on Facebook, and wow does it feel like the hunt is heating up again in the best way possible. Seeing this wave land brings back that rush I remember from chasing down early 200x figures back in the day, and I can feel that same spark now looking at Man At Arms, Evil Lyn, and Moss Man turning up on shelves. What really got me was the bonus card back photo that that was shared, because it features Teela in full 200x glory, confirming what we have been expecting for Wave 4.

Evil-Lyn
The figure comes packed in bright Cartoon Collection colors, and I’m really digging how her sharp purple armor and tall spiked headpiece jump right out of that Castle Grayskull backdrop. Her face has that sly animated expression with clean lines around the eyes, and the white design on her chest brings in that classic 200x flair. The yellow accents on her skirt pieces add a nice pop, and her long purple staff sits alongside her in the bubble.

Evil-Lyn bursts forward in a crackling swirl of purple lightning, and I love how the card art captures her mid-spell. The illustration is shown with her long staff raised as energy radiates around her, and her outfit really pops against the chaotic backdrop. Off to the side, Teela is teased in bright white and gold, swinging her staff as debris flies around her, hinting at her upcoming appearance in the Cartoon Collection in Wave 4. I absolutely love when these card backs tease out upcoming figures, and seeing Teela there just adds another layer of excitement to what already feels like a big moment for this subline as it continues to expand. Along the bottom, the cross-sell lineup shows Man-At-Arms, the figure, and Moss Man lined up cleanly with their animated styling on full display.

Man-At-Arms
The figure fills the bubble with that chunky animated armor, and I’m really liking how his bright orange pieces contrast against the cool blue tones on his legs and gauntlets. His helmet has those squared-off yellow details that match the cartoon look, and the mustache sits cleanly above a focused expression that feels pulled right from the screen. The large shoulder pad wraps over his torso armor, and the oversized mace resting beside him adds to the solid, geared-up vibe he has right out of the package.

Moss Man
The figure hits me right away with that deep green layered look, especially the sharp, leafy edges on his chest and arms that really sell the animated style. His face has that carved, stone-like scowl with the tall swept-back moss hair giving him a great silhouette, and the bright yellow belt and wrist cuffs break up the greens in a clean way. His club sits beside him in the bubble, matching the darker green tones that run through his body and tying the whole design together.
