September 12, 2025 Update

Coming out of San Diego Comic Con 2025, we were treated to some big name-only reveals for the GI Joe Classified Series, and since then, The Full Force Podcast has been hard at work matching these names up with their corresponding code names from the leaks. At the show, Hasbro confirmed that Big Lob, Lifeline, Hit N Run, Iceberg, and Night Viper are all in the pipeline, and we also know that Taurus and Red Dog are on the horizon to complete the Renegades team. This latest sequence of reveals gives us a clearer picture of what the next few waves could look like, and it’s exciting to see the roster expanding in such a diverse way. To add to the fun, we’ve been drawing inspiration from the amazing work of customizers like Stronox and YoJoeARAH, whose interpretations of these characters give us a preview of how they could translate into Classified figures.

During the panel at SDCC 2025, the Joe Team also dropped a fresh wave of name-only reveals that’s sure to excite longtime fans and collectors. Joining the Classified Series roster in the future will be Lifeline, Night Viper, Big Lob, Iceberg, and Hit N Run. While no images or renders were shown, these character announcements offer a thrilling glimpse into what’s ahead for the line as it continues to dig deeper into the rich legacy of G.I. Joe.

Lifeline

Lifeline was first introduced as an action figure in 1986 and later offered as a Kellogg’s cereal mail-in premium in 1991. His figure was repainted in 1988 for the Tiger Force line, followed by a new version in 1994 as part of the Battle Corps series, which was re-released in 2002 under The Real American Hero Collection with updated arms and a new head sculpt. Another repaint came in 2010 as a G.I. Joe Convention exclusive, this time using all the original parts, and he returned again in 2011 with a new version for the 30th Anniversary line.

Stronox Customs put together a sharp-looking concept of Lifeline in 6-inch scale that feels like a natural evolution of his vintage figure. He’s decked out in his signature red jumpsuit with bold white accents, including the word “RESCUE” running down his leg, and comes loaded with his classic medic gear. The figure sports a white utility belt, pouches, and holsters, along with a detailed medical case in hand and a pistol at the ready. His helmet and green-tinted shades complete the look, while the back shows off an intricate rescue pack with sculpted equipment and oxygen tank. This custom really captures the essence of G.I. Joe’s pacifist medic while updating the details for a Classified Series-style build.

Iceberg

Iceberg was originally released as an action figure in 1986, with a new version following in 1993 as part of the Battle Corps line.

Here’s a look at YoJoeARAH’s custom concept of Iceberg in Classified Series scale alongside his vintage figure. The larger build keeps his classic cold-weather look intact with a white and light teal jacket, fur-trimmed cuffs and collar, padded snow pants, and green harness and belt details. His sculpted gear includes grenades across his chest, pouches at his waist, and a long rifle that mirrors the vintage weapon. From the back, you can see his ammo clips strapped in and the layered detailing of his winter gear. The vintage figure stands next to him with the same crisp white and green color scheme, making it easy to see how this concept updates the classic arctic trooper into a modern 6-inch style.

Night Viper

Night Viper was first introduced as a vintage figure in 1989, standing out with his dark green uniform, black chest gear, and signature visor helmet. He returned in 1993 as part of the Battle Corps line with a brighter color scheme, followed by a repaint in 2006 for the Direct-to-Consumer line. In 2013, Night Viper received an updated modern-era figure under the G.I. Joe: Retaliation toy line, which quickly became a fan favorite due to its detailed sculpt and accurate homage to the original. Additional versions appeared in limited releases and exclusives throughout the years.

Night-Vipers are trained to operate in complete darkness, with equipment designed for stealth, including helmets with night vision, infrared detection, and sound amplifiers. Their suits reduce infrared signatures, making them nearly invisible to radar. While they have the advantage of “see first, eliminate first,” their eyes are highly sensitive to light, making them vulnerable if exposed, though finding them is a challenge. Stronox Customs creates an amazing and highly detailed GI Joe Classified Series concept. If we were to get anything close to this for a figure.

He’s translated the features from the vintage figure we know and love so well, including the night vision monocular, the updated rifle with night scope, and the backpack with small antennae. He even made sure to add his skull patch on his left arm!

Hit N Run

Hit & Run made his action figure debut in 1988, later appearing in Europe in 1991 with Tiger Force colors, and eventually returning in a 25th anniversary style as part of the “Assault on Cobra Island” 7-pack.

Here’s a killer concept of Hit & Run by Stronox Customs that really nails the look of a vintage G.I. Joe figure reimagined in 6-inch scale. He’s fully geared up in camo fatigues with black boots, tactical harness, and rope accessories, complete with face paint that captures his classic commando vibe. One setup shows him standing tall with his rifle slung at his side, helmet and red goggles in place, and a satchel in hand, while the other shot has him kneeling with his helmet off, rope in hand, ready for a climb. The details and paintwork make him feel like a perfect Classified Series version of his classic 1988 figure.

Big Lob

Big Lob made his debut in G.I. Joe: The Movie, where he was voiced by Brad Sanders. He was introduced as part of the “Rawhides,” a team of fresh recruits that included Falcon, Chuckles, Jinx, Law & Order, and Tunnel Rat, all trained under Beach Head. Despite his presence in the film, Big Lob didn’t receive an action figure or comic book appearance until 2010, when he was finally released as a G.I. Joe Club exclusive. In the America’s Elite comic series, he was noted as a reserve member of the team and shown on a deployment map during the “World War III” storyline, where he was engaged in the fight against Cobra Commander’s global forces. His specialties are listed as Infantry/Grenadier, with Public Affairs Specialist as his secondary role.

Here we get a look at YoJoeARAH’s custom concept of Big Lob in the GI Joe Classified Series scale, paired up with his vintage figure for comparison. The larger figure is decked out in a bright red tank top with his signature number 14, green combat pants, and tan lace-up boots. He’s kitted out with a belt loaded with pouches, a holstered sidearm, grenades strapped across his chest, and a huge launcher in hand. From the back, you can see the shoulder strap securing his gear and a closer look at the sculpted details on his pants and boots. The vintage figure stands right alongside him, carrying a rifle and sporting the same recognizable uniform and number 14 chest print, showing off how this concept translates the classic look into modern Classified Series style.

Taurus

This 6″ scale custom Taurus, created by YoJoeARAH, is a modern interpretation of the classic G.I. Joe character. The figure features a muscular build with a bald head and a distinct red beard, dressed in a bright yellow sleeveless shirt, green tactical pants with black padded sections, and black combat boots. Accessories include a removable brown backpack with rolled green sleeping back, a machete sheathed on the back, and a large combat knife on the thigh. The figure also features sculpted shoulder armor and detailed utility belts, showcasing the high level of craftsmanship that only YoJoeARAH can bring!

Red Dog

The figure accurately mirrors the character’s classic look, including his orange football-style jersey with the number “1” on the front, blue pants, and black boots. He features sculpted accessories like a headband, necklace, and brown belt with a detailed buckle. The backpack and thigh holster further enhance the resemblance, while the articulation and detailing reflect the modern Classified Series look!
