Psych-Out was never one of the flashier Joes on the card back, but Hasbro’s Classified Series has consistently found ways to take characters that didn’t quite land in the vintage era and reimagine them into something that commands attention on a modern shelf, and this Night Force version looks like it continues that trend beautifully. Huge thanks to @bmacatron84 on Instagram for sharing the first digital renders of Night Force Psych-Out, giving collectors their earliest look at this upcoming Walmart Collector Con exclusive. The figure is loaded with eight accessories, including an NF-88 Psionic Disruptor Rifle with a removable blast effect, a Psionic Resonator Pack that comes with two blast effects of its own, a knife, a pistol, and a Psionic Shield that can plug into either wrist, which is a nice touch for display versatility. I love how Hasbro leaned into the Night Force color palette here while tying his gear directly into the ongoing DireTech storyline and his rivalry with Crystal Ball, giving the figure a sense of narrative weight that goes beyond just a repaint in darker colors. Preorders are set to go live in July during Walmart Collector Con, with limited quantities also expected on Hasbro Pulse for those who prefer that route. The community response so far has been enthusiastic, with several commenters noting exactly what I was thinking: Hasbro keeps finding gold in characters that collectors might have overlooked the first time around, and a Night Force treatment only sweetens the deal.
