Ninja Force Destro and Quick Kick GI Joe ReAction+ Review

Finding two unannounced G.I. Joe ReAction+ exclusives at Target was a pretty great surprise, especially when the figures turned out to be Ninja Force versions of Destro and Quick Kick. These figures have been showing up at Target here and there and we definitely knew about the pair but I was not expecting to find them as I usually don’t have that great of luck but here we are! Neither character was part of the original Ninja Force lineup, so these are not simply retro-style updates of toys we already had. Super7 is expanding the team with entirely new takes, putting Destro in bulky samurai-inspired armor and replacing Quick Kick’s familiar bare-chested look with a blue masked uniform. I really like this direction for ReAction+, because it keeps the vintage construction and loud Ninja Force presentation while giving collectors something beyond another recreation of an existing figure. The card backs even treat them as established members of the group, complete with Ninja Force specialties and wonderfully odd command file details. I was lucky enough to find both figures, but I am not sure how widely they are being distributed yet. If these sound like your kind of weird G.I. Joe deep cut, it may be worth checking your local Target.

Quick Kick and Destro share the same neon pink-and-black Ninja Force card design, with large illustrated character art filling most of each package. The oversized G.I. Joe logo, die-cut hang tabs, and separate accessory bubbles give these ReAction+ releases the look of vintage retail cards with a much louder color palette.

Ninja Force Destro

Destro gets bold card art here, with samurai-inspired armor set against a hot pink and black background. The separate blister sections keep the figure and weapon assortment neatly divided without covering too much of the illustration.

The back keeps the vintage card format with a character checklist and a clip-and-save command file for Destro. His “Ninja Weapons Supplier” profile leans into the oddball concept, recasting the Cobra arms dealer as a samurai-armored warlord.

The command file’s best detail is Destro’s quote about learning any martial art if it helps him sell more munitions. Beside it, the snarling portrait and bright yellow Cobra panel give the profile the look of an old-school dossier clipped from the card.

His metallic silver face has a fierce samurai-inspired expression, with a deeply furrowed brow, narrowed green eyes, pronounced cheek lines, and a grimacing mouth with bared teeth. The layered skirt armor, silver bracers and shin guards pack plenty of period-inspired detail into the simple ReAction+ body.

Paired with the kabuto-style helmet, the exaggerated features have the look of a traditional Japanese menpō mask. Small green eyes peer out beneath the heavy brow, while four prominent fangs and deep cheek creases make Destro’s expression looks awesome up close.

From the back, the ribbed torso armor is outlined in silver, with the red sash ending in a small sculpted knot at the waist. The helmet’s rear plates add rows of tiny X-shaped markings.

The side profile brings out the red lacing painted across the silver shoulder guard and the sharp folded shape of the forearm armor. A visible elbow rivet sits between them, keeping the ReAction+ construction unmistakably old-school.

A raised diamond panel gives the silver wrist guard extra sculpted detail, while the black boot has a strapped cuff and separated toe ridges beneath the shin armor. The tan hand makes an unusual break in Destro’s otherwise black, red and silver armor.

The accessories come attached to a dark gray weapon sprue, with two angular blades and a long mace. Wrapped grips give the blades a handmade look, while the staff ends in a rounded, studded head.

The gold chest panel is very classic Destro and is is framed by red armor and finished with a silver crescent and rectangular emblem. Black ribbed panels at the abdomen add another bit of texture without crowding the clean vintage-style construction.

Ninja Force Quick Kick

Quick Kick’s illustration trades his familiar bare-chested look for a masked Ninja Force uniform, complete with headband, armored shoulder, and oversized curved blade. The “Silent Weapons” subtitle is a nice bit of character-specific branding beneath his name.

The card back includes a clip-and-save Command File for Quick Kick, complete with his portrait, specialties, birthplace, and character bio.

The four Ninja Force entries use full-body character illustrations , giving collectors a clear look at Quick Kick, Destro, Snake Eyes, and Cobra Commander in their matching sub-line designs.

The field quote leans into Quick Kick’s martial-arts specialty, joking that the solution to a fortified wall is simply to have him kick it. It is a fun bit of personality beyond the standard military profile.

Quick Kick’s blue tunic is covered with white cross-ties, while the red sash adds a row of silver emblems across the chest. The armored shoulders, forearm wraps, knee guards, and bare feet make for an unusual mix of protection and classic martial-arts styling.

The exposed eyes and sharply angled brows give Quick Kick a focused expression, with the blue hood framing the white mask and headband. A small red circle at the forehead provides the portrait’s only bright accent.

From the back, the blue hood extends below the tied white headband, while the sash runs from the shoulders to the waist.

A small gray pouch sits at the back of the red belt, with a second pouch secured by the two red straps around his right thigh.

Quick Kick’s weapons come molded in red on a model-kit-style sprue. The assortment includes two pairs of nunchaku and several blades ranging from compact curved knives to a long sword.

Here we get a great look at how dynamic the figure can get, pulling off a high kick while still maintaining a convincing martial arts stance. I especially like that the leg can come up this high without the rest of the figure looking awkward or overly restricted.

Ninja Force Destro may have the armor, but Quick Kick has the moves, landing a kick squarely to his chest.
