Snarf Snarf… ThunderCats are on the move! Another huge thanks to @actionguy82 for posting these amazing in hand images of the Super7 ThunderCats Deluxe Wave 5 Vultureman, which now IN STOCK on Walmart.com! I can never hear this character’s name without instantly hearing that raspy, scratchy voice in my head, and I love how this figure captures all of that personality in plastic form. Super7 has done such incredible work with the ThunderCats license over the years, from the Ultimates line to the LJN-inspired releases, and now the Deluxe figures give collectors another chance to grab these characters with that super solid sculpt work we’ve come to expect. Vultureman may be a little more paired down in terms of extras compared to previous releases, but he looks so fresh and clean on the shelf, and that sculpt is just gorgeous. I always loved the Evil Mutants as a kid, and seeing them continue to get the spotlight from Super7 makes my collector heart so happy. So let’s take a look at Super7 ThunderCats Deluxe Wave 5 Vultureman!
Where to Buy
You can preorder the figures at the following retailers below

Packaging & Figure
The packaging uses a black card with the classic ThunderCats logo splashed across the top in its familiar metallic lettering, framed by a splatter-style border around the clear blister. The lower portion features a bold red banner with a red Mutant emblem, and you can see the teal blaster tucked into the tray alongside Vultureman.
Sporting a deep navy pleated skirt held by a brown leather belt with a small buckle, Vultureman’s lower half has a gladiatorial vibe that pairs well with the bare, pale torso above it. His hands are sculpted into grasping, claw-like shapes with elongated fingers, and I think it’s neat that they gave him such expressive, almost predatory hand sculpts rather than generic gripping fists.

One thing I noticed right away is how clean the cream-colored torso looks on the Deluxe version, with the feathered mantle sitting heavily across both shoulders like a natural extension of his bird anatomy rather than a separate armor piece. The teal blaster has a blocky, mechanical silhouette with a cylindrical barrel tip, and it scales well against his frame without overwhelming the figure.

Figure Comparisons
Here’s a closer look at both versions of Vultureman side by side, and the differences are subtle but worth noting. The new Deluxe Wave 5 figure is on the left and the previous LJN Toy Variant released along side the SkuCutter is on the right. The left figure sports a brown feathered mantle and a brown leather belt, while the right swaps those out for dark charcoal-black plumage, a blue belt, and a blue shoulder harness with a sword sheathed across the back.

You can see how the feathered mantle sculpt holds up when you get two Vulturemen together, with each individual feather layered and textured across the shoulders. The new Deluxe Wave 5 figure is on the left, and the original release of Vulturman is on the right. The taloned feet are a nice touch, with elongated bird-like claws replacing standard toes, and both figures carry different weapons, a teal blaster and a silver trident.

Now we can see all three Vultureman figures together, and it’s cool to see how the color variants play off each other. The lead figure’s white and brown head sculpt differs from the two behind him, where the yellow beak sits higher on the face beneath a crest, and the teal blaster has a chunky, oversized sci-fi design that fits the character’s gadget-loving personality.

Here are some fun shots of Vultureman grouped up with Monkian and Mumm-Ra, and the scale works nicely across the trio. I like how his navy blue pleated skirt and brown feathered mantle contrast against the other figures, letting his eagle-like head sculpt with that sharp yellow beak really command attention in the lineup.

Finally, we get a group shot showing the full ThunderCats crew assembled together, and Mumm-Ra towers over everyone just like he should. Cheetara, Lion-O, Panthro, Tygra, Jaga, and Vultureman all fill out the roster nicely, but it’s that bright teal skin and red cape combination on Mumm-Ra that immediately pulls your eye to the back of the group.
