King Randor Card Art
Here we can see King Randor in all his glory, in a commanding pose with members of his court and allies standing behind him. There is a Eternian Palace Guard with it looks like King Chooblah next to him. Then we can see Buzz Off and Stratos in the back ground. There is a woman character and a knight character, which are new and we have not seen before. Then we have Lord Dactus standing prominently next to King Randor.

Lord Dactus is a heroic leader of the Bat-like Speleans who live deep underground in Subternia™, Dactus waged a long war against his former ally Ceratus™ for possession of Hollow Eternia®. After a series of attacks by Skeletor® and King Hssss™, Dactus was convinced by King Randor® to put aside his differences with the Calligars and work together as members of his new Eternian Council. A born warrior, he often leaves his diplomatic duties to fight on the battlefield as one of the Masters of the Universe®. During one adventure he traveled with Chief Carnivus™ and Clamp Champ® to free Princess Vess from Skeletor’s clutches. Dactus’ massive wings and sharp fangs give him a frightening appearance which he uses to scare off and then attack the evil warriors!
Once thought to be a mythical race, the savage looking Kulataks allied themselves with King Randor after Skeletor attempted to steal Eternium metal from their mines. Supplying the Masters of the Universe with this precious metal, the Kulataks helped build a new prison for Skeletor’s Evil Warriors.
King Chooblah later joined Randor’s new Eternian Council, helping to unify the free people of Eternia against evil. Chooblah took up arms himself during the Second Ultimate Battleground, leading three battalions of brave Kulatak warriors against the Snake Men and Horde armies. Their attack was the key to defeating King Hssss and destroying the Horde war machines. Wise leader of the Kulatak warriors, King Chooblah uses his claws and great strength to defeat evil enemies!

Whiplash is illustrated beautifully battling it out against Fisto and Battle Armor He-Man can be seen rushing to the rescue in the background.

UPDATE 8/22/2022: Wave 10 Figure Assortment Confirmed
Thanks to 57.0rion from Instagram for helping confirm that indeed King Randor, Mini Comic Trap Jaw, Whiplash, and Digitino are the Wave 10 assortment! They are showing up in Malaysia from a seller on eBay If you can’t wait for the MOTU Origins Wave 10 preorder to widely hit, your best bet is to get them now while the getting is good!
UPDATE 8/21, 2022: Wave 10 Potential Street Date
Amazon DE (a.k.a. Amazon Germany) has put both Whiplash (discovered back in July) and King Randor up for preorder with a release date of September 27, 2022. What does that mean for the US? Whiplash and King Randor are currently listed in Amazon‘s database but are listed as “Temporarily out of stock,” which is usually the precursor and practice Amazon does before the figures go up for sale for retail price. We could also see an update like this for the Amazon US site so we will make sure to let know as soon as we do! Also, there are two figures still up in the air for this assortment; however, we believe these figures to be Mini Comic Trap Jaw (the lone hold back from Power Con 2021) and Digitino. It will be interesting to see who will take the remaining slots in the Wave 10 Assortment.
We have found listings for Mini Comic Trap Jaw and Digitino at DeepDiscount.com and they show a street date of 9/30/2022 which is just around the corner. So this is a great indicator that these two figures will round of the rest of the Wave 10 Assortment!
Wave 9 and Wave 10 Assortments
As we originally reported, King Randor was supposed to be part of Wave 9. The Wave 9 and Wave 10 assortments have been a hot mess but at least Wave 9 is sorted out as they have hit Amazon and Target! Wave 10 is a bit of a puzzle but at least one of the figures, King Randor, might be part of Wave 10 as this has hit Amazon already! You can find out more in the article below as it also appears that Mini Comic Trap Jaw and Digitino have been put on hold for some unknown reason:

King Randor hit Amazon US today in what we believe is one of the figures in the MOTU Origins Wave 10 Assortment. Way back in May, if you recall, King Randor and Whiplash (the other figure we think will be part of Wave 10) went up for preorder on sites like Big Boy Collectibles and DJ Collectibles! Also, Whiplash has been found on the German version of Amazon (Amazon.de) so be on the lookout in the coming weeks for MOTU Origins Wave 10 preorder figures to emerge and we will be sure to keep you updated!
King Randor
Today, King Randor showed up on Amazon today so the other figures in Wave 10 are surely not too far behind. This figure could be on display at this years San Diego Comic Con 2022 so be on he lookout for pics! For now, here is the link to King Randor on Amazon:
King Randor Official Images
This version of King Randor is a complete homage to the 1980’s version, with his red and gold shinny armor, gold arm bracers, crown, orange pants, and blue boots. Where Mattel diverged from the Vintage was that they decided to go with a plastic cape, rather than the soft goods cape of the original. From the rear image, you can tell the cape looks similar to that of the Origins Scare Glow and Keldor. King Randor may look like the Burger King, but I think he looks absolutely amazing, and I can’t wait to get him in hand!

In a complete tribute to the vintage Whiplash, this new Origins figure is an amazing upgrade to the vintage figure we all know and love! The skin tone is a bright green, and the chest armor is a deeper color green. The head sculpt looks like a cross between the MOTU Classics and the vintage head sculpts. The new MOTU Origins Whiplash’s neck looks more proportional to the body and shares the same legs with Clawful and Buzz Off. His tail is removeable and looks to be a slightly hard plastic than the vintage, but we will only be able to tell, once we get him in hand! We now get a view of his back side as well where you can see the amazing detail in that removeable tail design. I am so excited for this one!!! Mattel knocked it out of the park once again!

Back in May, MOTU Origins Wave 10 U.S Pre-Orders emerged on the first U.S Retailer Big Boy Collectibles. Wave 10 Pre-Orders for Whiplash and King Randor are currently up for Pre-Order on Big Boy Collectibles for $19.99 each and are slating for release in October of 2022!

Digitino
Digitino, the math genius, is an interesting character, as he is the only Latino character of the group. Digitino’s face sculpt is excellent in capturing the look of the vintage figure, with his nicely painted brown eyes and eyebrows and beautiful brown hair. His lips even look like they have a tinge of color to them, which is a nice touch. Digitino wears a tan colored smock with some digits carved out of it. He has yellow and red wrist bracers, red and yellow belt, blue shorts, and yellow boots with red toes. He comes with a staff with a claw-like appendage at the end, not really sure what that was supposed to symbolize. All in all, I think he is a good mix for the Rulers of the Sun group and fits in nicely into the MOTU world. The origins version does a wonderful job of paying tribute to the vintage one.

Mini Comic Trap Jaw
We saw Mini Comic Trap Jaw almost one year ago at the 2021 Power Con Mattel Display! And where has he been? It seems that this repaint of Trap Jaw has been teased at and shuffled around in the assortments for some time now. But with the listing we found at DeepDiscount.com for him, and a street date of 9/30/2022, it seems that this Mini Comic Trap Jaw might soon be officially joining the latest wave of Origins figures! He is even pictured with an all new comic book “Mind over Matter” where you can see him coming to attack Digitino on the front cover!
Below is the prototype image that was in the Power Con display at last year’s 2021 convention. You can tell it is a painted sample and not a production run.

MOTU Origins Wave 10 Preorders
Below are images of websites that have 3 out of the 4 figures rumored to be in Wave 9, which include King Randor, Mini Comic Trap Jaw and the aforementioned Whiplash. Below is an image from Zed Collectibles, a Canadian Website that has these figures up for preorder but they do not have an image of Mini Comic Trap Jaw but that figure was revealed at Power Con 2021 and there are images floating around the net. Based on intel that we have, it appears that Mini Comic Trap Jaw was put on hold based on some assortment changes

Another site, Outrun Collectibles also has images and the preorders are just up for Whiplash and King Randor.
DJ Collectibles
Finally, other site called DJ Collectibles has the figures up for preorder and the funny thing is they used our banner image from the Wave 9 leak we published back in February, and I guess copying is the best form of flattery! Based on the final assortment for Wave 9, we know that these figures will most likely be part of Wave 10 based on more assortment changes!
