Battle of Castle Grayskull Mattel Brick Shop Official Images and Preorder

We’ve been keeping an eye on this one and it’s finally here with official images and a preorder date locked in. After we first got a look at the initial reveal of the Castle Grayskull Mattel Brick Shop set and then dove deeper into the official details that followed, Mattel has now pulled back the curtain on the full gallery of official images for the Masters of the Universe Battle of Castle Grayskull Building Set, and I’ve got to say, I’m really fired up about this one. The set is packed with 16 NanoWorld figures that include He-Man, Skeletor, and a roster of characters spanning the Masters of the Universe film, and each figure comes with swappable poses that give you real flexibility when it comes to setting up your display or recreating iconic battle scenes. What really caught my eye are the light burst special effects parts and the extra pieces designed to pose figures mid-air, which is a thoughtful touch that adds a level of dynamic energy you don’t always get from building sets at this scale. The buildable Castle Grayskull itself features rotating turrets and a detailed inner sanctum, and the whole thing is compatible with other Mattel Brick Shop sets as well as other major building brands, which opens up some fun possibilities for expanding your setup over time. The set is priced at $65.00 and is available for preorder on April 25, 2026 through Mattel Creations, so if you’re looking to lock one in, I’d recommend heading over to the official preorder page when it goes live. And if one set isn’t enough, keep your eyes peeled for the Clash at Snake Mountain set launching the same day, giving collectors a one-two punch of buildable MOTU goodness that could make for an incredible combined display. Feast your eyes on the official images below!

Where to Buy

You can preorder the figures at the following retailers below

Mattel Brick Shop Masters of the Universe Battle of Castle Grayskull Building Set

The fully assembled Castle Grayskull looks impressive at this scale, with its brick facade, the massive skull mouth at the center, and clusters of red coral-like pieces growing up the twin turrets. Several NanoWorld figures are scattered across the base and battlements and we can see Prince Adam summoning the Powers of Grayskill in the separate archway build section with its translucent blue power accents.

The box artwork showcases the buildable Castle Grayskull in tan and beige brick construction, complete with the iconic skull facade, flanked by towers with red crystal-like accent pieces climbing the walls. A side panel displays all 16 NanoWorld figures, including recognizable characters like He-Man, Skeletor, Battle Cat, and Sorceress, along with translucent blue and purple light burst effect pieces.

The box art also features several of the NanoWorld figures posed around the castle base, with translucent blue effect pieces suggesting an energy blast erupting from the ground near what appears to be Teela and Man-At-Arms. Overhead, Zoar soars on outstretched wings.

The back of the box highlights the completed Castle Grayskull build from a slightly different angle, with four smaller scene photos along the bottom showing various play configurations, including the light burst effect pieces in action and figures positioned throughout the castle interior. The character callout section on the right identifies each of the 16 included NanoWorld figures individually, with Prince Adam, Sorceress, Zoar, Cringer, Royal Guard, Hover Robot, and Skel-Knight among the roster alongside the previously mentioned heroes and villains.

The top edge of the box displays a strip of individual brick and figure callouts, giving a sense of the 867-piece count and the variety of small build elements included alongside the NanoWorld figures. I like how the packaging pairs a painted illustration of He-Man on the far right with the brick-built castle on the left, bridging the movie aesthetic with the construction toy format.

Prince Adam holds his sword aloft, framed by a towering translucent blue light burst effect piece that catches the light beautifully with its crystalline sculpt. He’s wearing his signature pink top and dark pants, with white wrist cuffs and a simple, clean NanoWorld-scale sculpt that reads well even at this small size.

A grid layout shows all 16 NanoWorld figures included in the set, each framed in their own panel, and the variety across the roster is impressive!

Mattel Brick Shop Masters of the Universe Battle of Castle Grayskull Building Set 03

I’m seeing Beast Man lunging forward with one arm raised as Battle Cat hunches down and braces, the green body arched with yellow armor details popping while debris scatters across the base, and I like how the figures are posed mid-impact with Beast Man’s red armor and fur textures contrasting against the smooth, striped finish on Battle Cat’s tail and torso. Down below, Evil-Lyn grips her staff with both hands and drives a translucent purple energy effect straight into Teela, who leans into the hit with her white and gold armor catching the light, and I think it’s cool how the staff effect adds that burst of motion while the sculpted stances keep both figures locked into the clash.

The castle’s twin turrets each have a minifigure stationed on top, and you can see how the rotating turret feature works with the cylindrical brick construction allowing the towers to swivel.

Mattel REVEALED Reveal!

Fresh off the wire, and this one is going to make a lot of collectors very happy. Huge thanks to Mattel for sharing official images and details for the Battle for Castle Grayskull Mattel Brick Shop set, which was revealed earlier today during the Mattel REVEALED event. We actually got our first look at this one when the MOTU Movie Castle Grayskull Brick Shop set surfaced during the event, and now we have the full picture on this companion piece that pulls straight from the classic Masters of the Universe mythology we all grew up obsessing over but with a new movie twist. The Battle for Castle Grayskull set is priced at $64.99 and is scheduled to be available on April 25, 2026, which gives collectors a nice runway to plan their shelves and their budgets accordingly. I love how Mattel continues to expand the Brick Shop line with sets that feel like they were designed by people who genuinely understand what makes these properties resonate with fans, and Castle Grayskull is about as iconic as it gets when you’re talking about the world of Eternia. From the jawbridge to the towers, this is one of those iconic pieces that has been reimagined across every medium and toy format imaginable, and seeing it interpreted through the Brick Shop lens adds yet another layer to its legacy. The fact that Mattel pulled back the curtain on this during the REVEALED event alongside so many other announcements shows just how much momentum the Brick Shop format is building right now, and I’m really fired up to see where they take it from here. In fact, there are more sets coming as we also recently discovered coded MOTU Brick Shop listings! We’ll have more coverage as additional details come in, so stay tuned because there’s a lot more to dig into.

Castle Grayskull stands as the centerpiece here, built in off-white and light teal bricks with a massive skull facade at its center, complete with sculpted teeth and a green trident crest above. Red coral-like vine pieces climb up both flanking towers, adding a nice pop of color against the pale stone. A separate archway structure sits to the left with translucent blue energy pieces inside, while several minifigures are arranged across the base, including be He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, and a group of Skel-Cons.

The castle is mid-build here, with a portion of the upper tower section being placed by hand, showing how the structure assembles in segments. A few minifigures are scattered around the base area alongside the instruction booklet, and I like the way the interior archway beneath the skull facade opens up with enough clearance to fit figures through it.

They were not kidding when they called these figures “Nano” during the live stream. He-Man is incredibly tiny here, held between two fingers on a small black base. Even at this miniature scale, the paint apps are surprisingly clean, with his blonde hair, brown fur loincloth and boots, and the red iron cross on his chest harness all picked out. I think it’s cool that the Power Sword is molded in a flat gray and still retains its classic crossguard shape at this size.

Several of the nano-scale figures are spread out in front of Castle Grayskull, giving a better look at the full lineup. Skeletor stands out in his purple hood and staff as he tangles with He-Man in front of Castle Grayskull.

A wide shot of the full figure lineup arranged in front of Castle Grayskull, and it’s nice to see how many characters are packed into this set. They include:
• He-Man
• Prince Adam
• Battle Cat/Cringer
• Skeletor
• Beast Man
• Evil-Lyn
• Teela
• Palace Guard
• Skel-Knight
• Sorceress
• Zoar

Prince Adam stands with the Power Sword raised overhead, surrounded by a cluster of translucent blue energy pieces that fan out dramatically around him. Something I appreciate here is the way those ice-crystal elements catch light from below, giving the whole base an illuminated glow that really makes the tiny figure pop against the Grayskull archway behind him as he summons the power of Grayskull!

Mattel REVEALED Images

This is a screenshot from the live stream and we are looking at this Brick Shop Castle Grayskull build and the skull façade immediately locks in with that movie-inspired shape, with the twin towers flanking the entrance and red vine elements creeping up the stonework. The front platform is staged like an active battle scene with multiple nano-scale figures clashing right at the gate, weapons raised and bodies angled toward each other, while another character is positioned up top on the tower, overlooking the fight. The interior doorway sits recessed beneath the skull, giving a sense of depth, and the mix of green accents, gray brick texture, and small environmental details like the vines and platform edges helps sell the fortress as both a display piece and a play scene all at once.

Getting a closer look at the front, I’m really drawn to how the skull entrance is constructed with layered curved pieces that form the brow and cheek structure, while the huge teeth hang down over the doorway with a separate hinge-like assembly. The towers show more of that stacked brick pattern with subtle color breaks and green accents worked into the stone, and those red vine elements are spread unevenly across both sides, giving each tower a slightly different look.

Zooming up to the top section, I’m really noticing how that dome piece sits behind the skull, built from smooth curved elements that contrast with the more segmented stonework below, and there’s that green crest-like panel running down the center that ties it back to the rest of the structure. The tops of the towers are ringed with those blocky crenellations, and I like how the red vine pieces cluster more heavily on one side, giving it a slightly asymmetrical feel. Up on the right tower, Teela and Evil-Lyn are locked in a clash right at the edge.

Right in the center of the entrance, I’m really drawn to that raised platform inside the gateway where the jewel is mounted, sitting on a small pedestal and angled slightly so it catches the light. The piece itself has a translucent look that makes it pop against the darker interior, and it’s framed by the archway, which naturally pull your eye straight to it.

Movie-Castle-Grayskull-MOTU-Mattel-Brick-Shop-Reveal-4

I love how the teeth are built here, with those longer fang pieces dropping down from the upper jaw and a row of shorter, more compact elements sitting above them, almost layered like a mechanical hinge. Each tooth has a slightly different length and angle, which keeps them from looking too uniform, and they connect into that central bar that runs across the mouth. The lighter bone-like color against the darker interior really makes them pop, and the way they hang over the entrance gives the doorway a more enclosed, guarded look.

Out in front of the gate, Skeletor and He-Man are locked into the center of the action, facing each other with weapons raised as that translucent blue effect piece cuts right between them. Just behind He-Man, a Skel-Knight presses forward into the clash, tightening up the scene, while Man-At-Arms steps in from the side with his weapon up, joining the push. Off to the right, Beast Man moves in alongside Battle Cat, both angled toward the fight as everything converges right at the entrance.

Movie-Castle-Grayskull-MOTU-Mattel-Brick-Shop-Reveal-9

Tight on the right side of the battle, Beast Man is charging forward. Just ahead, Battle Cat is lunging forward on all fours, angled toward him! Love the the yellow striping across his green body. Behind them, Man-At-Arms is mid-leap with his sword lifted overhead, coming down into the fight, while in the background He-Man continues to press forward toward Skeletor near the blue energy effect piece at the center.

Movie-Castle-Grayskull-MOTU-Mattel-Brick-Shop-Reveal-7

Up on the tower, Teela is stepping in with her sword raised as she meets Evil-Lyn head-on, and I like how that translucent purple energy effect piece sits right between their weapons as they clash. Evil-Lyn’s cape flows back behind her while she braces forward, and Teela is angled in with one foot planted on the circular platform, giving the moment a tight, face-to-face confrontation right at the edge of the battlement.

Movie-Castle-Grayskull-MOTU-Mattel-Brick-Shop-Reveal-8

Right in the center, Prince Adam is standing on the raised platform with his sword lifted straight overhead, and I like how the translucent blue energy pieces are built up behind him, rising in jagged layers that frame the pose. The arched doorway surrounds the scene, pulling your eye inward, while the platform gives him just enough elevation to feel like the focal point. The sword is angled vertically into that energy effect, making it look like everything is channeling upward through it as he calls on the power of Castle Grayskull.
