Trap Jaw MOTU Chronicles Official Images and Preorder
Mattel Creations has pulled back the curtain on the full set of official images and packaging for the Masters of the Universe Chronicles Trap Jaw action figure, and this is our best look yet at how the movie-inspired line is shaping up ahead of the 2026 live action film. We’ve seen a few official images of Trap Jaw already back in late January 2026 but he’s now fully revealed with his packaging on display really drives home what Mattel is going for with this line, and I’m fired up about the direction. This 6.5-inch scale figure features the likeness of actor Sam C. Wilson and comes loaded with 30 points of articulation, which is a generous count that should give collectors plenty of posability to work with whether you’re displaying him in or out of the box. The movie-accurate armor and that signature weaponized arm with the hook attachment look sharp in these photos, and the deluxe packaging itself is eye-catching enough that I could see a lot of collectors keeping this one sealed just for the shelf presence alone. The figure is priced at $27.00 and will go up for preorder April 25, 2026 over at Mattel Creations. It’s also worth noting that Mattel Creations has launched a dedicated hub page for all MOTU movie related toys and apparel, so if you’re building out your collection around the film, that’s going to be a bookmark-worthy destination. Feast your eyes on the full gallery below and let us know if Trap Jaw is making your preorder list.

Masters of the Universe Chronicles Trap
The packaging features a dark, cosmic purple interior with the figure displayed alongside his accessories. The box artwork in the lower corner shows a stylized portrait of Trap Jaw that captures that menacing green face and metallic pink helmet in a painted, almost cinematic style.

Trap Jaw features a bright blue skin tone contrasted by heavy gunmetal armor across his legs, belt, and one fully mechanical arm that ends in a cannon attachment. His accessories include a serrated blade, a hook attachment, and a swap-out hand, giving collectors some nice options for that weaponized arm.

Trap Jaw’s metallic pink helmet has a nice sheen to it, framing his green face with its sculpted sneer that captures Sam C. Wilson’s likeness. The weathered brown leather straps crossing his chest and the tattered loincloth add a rugged, lived-in texture against the clean blue of his skin.

The teal-green knee armor peeking out beneath the tattered loincloth adds a nice pop of color against all that gunmetal, and the speckled black detailing across the legs and mechanical arm gives the armor a gritty, battle-worn texture. Trap Jaw has his hook attachment here, its curved silver blade looking sharp and clean against the heavier industrial look of the arm itself.

The sculpt on Trap Jaw’s boots shows layered mechanical plating with rivets, gears, and exposed joint mechanisms, all finished in that speckled gunmetal. With 30 points of articulation, those heavy armored legs still look like they allow for a good range of movement at the knees and ankles.

Armed with that massive serrated blade, Trap Jaw is posed in an action crouch that really shows off how well the articulation works across those heavily armored legs. I like the way the wrist-mounted device on his other arm catches the light here, a smaller detail that’s easy to miss next to all that heavy ordnance.

Covered in that weathered gunmetal finish, the mechanical arm’s shoulder pauldron shows a layered construction with riveted plates and protruding spikes along the top edge. The brown leather strap crosses over the blue torso and connects to a belt buckle with a stamped insignia, tying the armor pieces together with a sense of functional design.

Showing off more of the articulation, Trap Jaw is holding the cannon arm close to his chest in a kneeling pose, and those teal-green armor panels on the knees really stand out against the darker gunmetal plating in this position. One detail I noticed right away is the gold medallion or clasp where the leather strap meets the shoulder armor, a small touch that breaks up the silver and blue nicely.
