To me, my X-Men! Boy are we thrilled to bring you this one. Hasbro is giving us a Marvel Legends two-pack straight out of Joss Whedon and John Cassaday’s iconic Astonishing X-Men run, featuring none other than Cyclops and Wolverine together. These two have one of the most compelling dynamics in all of X-Men history, and seeing them paired up in this era-specific styling is super exciting. The set comes packed with 8 accessories including alternate hands and heads for both figures, giving us plenty of display options to recreate those classic moments from the comics. This one is priced at $55.99 with a February 2027 ship date, and it’s available for preorder now over at our friends at BigBadToyStore, so definitely check them out if you want to lock this one in. The Astonishing era gave us some of the best X-Men storytelling in modern comics, and I love how Hasbro keeps pulling from that well for the Legends line. How amazing is it to get Scott and Logan together in those sleek redesigned costumes? So let’s take a look at the Astonishing X-Men Marvel Legends Cyclops and Wolverine Two-Pack!

Astonishing X-Men Marvel Legends Cyclops & Wolverine Action Figure Two-Pack
The packaging features a warm gradient that shifts from deep red at the edges to a fiery orange-yellow center, with faint comic-style artwork printed into the interior tray behind both figures. Both Cyclops and Wolverine come loaded with swap-out hands and alternate heads, including what looks like Wolverine’s classic cowl and an optic blast effect piece for Cyclops, all nestled in the tray around them.

The side panel artwork really sells this set, with a gorgeous comic illustration of both Cyclops and Wolverine in their Astonishing-era costumes tearing through what looks like a chaotic battle scene. I like how the art leans into that bold Joss Whedon and John Cassaday era aesthetic, with heavy reds and warm tones filling the composition while the two figures contrast sharply against each other in their blue and yellow suits.

The back of the box features striking original comic artwork of both characters, with Cyclops on the left in his sleek blue suit and ruby visor and Wolverine on the right in his classic brown and tan look, both illustrated in a bold, slightly gritty style. The accompanying bio text sets the stage around the loss of Jean Grey, framing this as a moment of tension between the two teammates rather than simple camaraderie.

Here are some fun shots of the full X-Men squad assembled, with Cyclops and Wolverine front and center alongside Colossus, Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde, and Beast, all in their Astonishing-era looks. I like how the navy and gold of Cyclops’ suit anchors the group while Wolverine’s yellow pops against the surrounding blues and reds of his teammates, making this two-pack feel like the natural core of a much bigger display.

Wolverine’s Astonishing-era suit looks fantastic here, with the bold yellow and blue broken up by that exposed chest area covered in detailed hair texture sculpted right into the skin. Cyclops towers beside him in his deep navy blue suit accented with thin gold piping that runs along the seams, and that red optic blast effect piece trailing from his visor is a fun little touch that adds a lot of energy to the pair.

Here’s a closer look at the fist bump moment between these two, and you can see how Wolverine’s snarling face sculpt really sells the attitude, with teeth bared and a furrowed brow under those sharp cowl points. Cyclops’ X-Men belt buckle and the gold wrist cuffs on his gauntlets pick up light differently than the matte navy of the suit, creating a nice visual separation across the uniform’s layers.

Wolverine’s unmasked head sculpt has a ton of personality, from the wild, swept-back hair with its signature peaks to the thick mutton chops framing a scowling expression that just screams Logan. You can see how the exposed arms have that same detailed hair texture as the chest, and the blue gloves with yellow stripe accents on the forearms create a clean transition between skin and costume.

Wolverine’s adamantium claws have a nice metallic silver finish with each of the three blades on both fists looking sharp and evenly spaced, catching that classic comic book feel. Something I appreciate here is the X-Men belt buckle sitting front and center, with the red and black emblem cleanly recessed into the sculpted black belt that cinches the yellow and blue costume together.

Wolverine comes with a solid spread of swap-out hands, including fists with claws retracted showing just the silver knuckle ports, an open-palm hand, and what looks like a gripping hand for more expressive posing options. The alternate masked head has a great snarl with bared teeth, and those sharp black cowl points flanking the yellow forehead section look razor-crisp up close.

Wolverine’s articulation really shines here, with the knees, hips, and shoulders all working together to hold this airborne pose without any visible strain or loose joints. I’m really digging the way the blue boot soles have that flat, clean sculpt, a small detail you’d never notice on the shelf but one that shows the figure was thought through from every angle.

Wolverine’s back view gives you a great look at how the yellow and blue panels of the suit wrap around the torso, with the sleeveless vest cut revealing those textured bare arms all the way up to the shoulder caps. The blue boot sculpts have yellow stripe detailing on the shins that mirrors the forearm accents, keeping that head-to-toe design consistency locked in from every angle.

Clad in that deep navy suit, Cyclops’ gold piping traces every seam from the collar down through the torso and along the legs, and the sculpted lines follow the contours of the body cleanly without feeling overdone. The red optic blast effect piece has a great translucent quality with an almost flame-like wisp shape, curling up and off the visor in a way that feels organic rather than stiff.

Cyclops’ visor is a really nice piece of work up close, with that clean red lens sitting in a silver frame that wraps snugly around his head sculpt, and the jaw and chin have a subtle, determined set to them. I noticed that the boot tops each have their own gold bands that match the wrist cuffs, tying the whole uniform together from top to bottom.

Cyclops comes with two sets of swap-out hands, including these open-palm and gesture hands that add some nice variety beyond the standard fists he’s wearing on the figure. The sculpt on the alternate hands has individually defined fingers with subtle glove wrinkles at the knuckles, and they look like they’ll pair well with more commanding or tactical poses on the shelf.

Here’s a closer look at the back of Cyclops’ suit, and you can see how the gold piping continues around to the rear, tracing the seam lines down the spine and splitting cleanly at the lower back before running along each leg. The gold bands on the boots and wrist cuffs maintain that uniform symmetry from every angle, and the sculpted diamond shape between the shoulder blades adds a subtle costume detail that’s easy to miss from the front.
