It feels like one of those moments where patience actually pays off, because after the 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection deluxe figure went up for preorder on January 2, 2026 with just a single official image to go on, we finally have a much clearer picture of what Mattel has in store for collectors, and I have to admit this is exactly the kind of slow-burn reveal that keeps me searching all the corners of the internet way too often. When that preorder first dropped, it was exciting but also a little frustrating, since one image only tells part of the story, especially for a deluxe release that is clearly meant to capture the look and feel of the 200x era from the Masters of the Universe cartoon. Now that we have surfaced the remaining official images, minus the in-box shot, it finally feels like we can start to really evaluate the sculpt, proportions, and overall presentation of this upcoming figure. From a Toy Habits perspective, this is always the sweet spot, where you can slow down, take in multiple angles, and appreciate the design choices that sometimes get overlooked when all you have is a single hero shot. Even without the packaging image, these additional views go a long way in helping collectors decide whether this deluxe figure deserves a spot on their shelf, and it also reinforces how committed the MOTU Origins team has been to translating that 200x animated aesthetic into plastic. I always enjoy these moments because they remind me why covering toy news is so much fun, especially when new images surface and suddenly a preorder feels a lot more real than it did just a few weeks ago.

Clawful comes charging in with that oversized red crab claw raised high, the segmented arm showing off the textured bumps and serrated inner edge that really sell the snapping action. I like how the armored chest plates stack cleanly across the torso, paired with the classic blue skirt with layered panels and a centered red belt gem that anchors the look. In a more grounded stance, the figure leans forward with the claw hanging low and ready, showing off the wrist cuff details, boot wraps, and the sharp facial sculpt with a tight scowl that feels pulled straight from the 200x Cartoon Collection.

The figure twists at the waist with the massive claw stretched outward, letting me really see the layered shell texture along the arm and the subtle dot detailing running down the outer surface. From the rear angle, the shoulder armor flares wide and sits over a clean back sculpt, with the belt wrapping snugly around the waist and the blue skirt panels fanning out as the legs step into motion. I’m digging how the smaller pincer hand curls upward while the boots plant firmly, giving the whole pose a sense of forward momentum and control.
