Mondo’s Masters of the Universe 200X – Disco Skeletor 1/12 Scale Figure – Limited Edition will be available first in person at MOTUFest, followed by an online preorder on September 15 at noon ET for $110. We previously covered the figure’s initial reveal alongside Ice Armor He-Man and Fire Armor Skeletor, but these official images give us a much better look at how Mondo translated that unmistakable black, purple, red, and gold color scheme into its 200X line. Disco Skeletor stands 7.5 inches tall in 1/12 scale and includes four interchangeable portraits, with the worried and raised brow-bone expressions adding exactly the kind of personality this oddball variant needs. He also comes with three pairs of hands, the Havoc Staff, Double Blade Sword, and a figure stand. I’m glad Mondo committed to the design from the 200x repaint, especially with those expressive portraits leaning into why Disco Skeletor became such a memorable Masters of the Universe variant. The 3x Pairs of Hands cover clawed open hands, tight fists, and gripping options, with icy blue paint keeping every swap consistent. The complete assortment also brings together all four portraits, the Havoc Staff, and the configurable Double Blade Sword with both guard designs and two gold blades.

Disco Skeletor’s metallic gold armor pushes the 200X design into gloriously flashy territory, especially against the deep purple torso and icy blue skin. The front of the box carries that same color scheme into a full painted character portrait, while the horned skull atop the Havoc Staff gives the display a suitably sinister counterpoint.

Around back, Disco Skeletor’s packaging uses a shimmering silver finish beneath rough pencil-style artwork of Snake Mountain. The monochrome presentation gives the deluxe box a distinctive sketchbook quality that suits this unusual release.

At 7.5 inches tall, Disco Skeletor has a substantial presence for a 1/12-scale figure, and the Havoc Staff extends well beyond his full height.

The Neutral Red-Eye Portrait gives Disco Skeletor a fiery orange skull with sharp green markings, exposed fangs, and a black hood that frames the expression nicely. Orange paint picks out the raised details across the bracers, belt, and long armored panels, while the hooked ridges along the greaves add another aggressive layer to the 200X styling.

The shaggy black loincloth adds a welcome patch of texture between the figure’s glossy purple and black paint apps. Silver claws sharpen up the icy blue feet and give the lower half a more creature-like finish.

The full portrait assortment includes the Neutral Red-Eye Portrait, Classic Neutral Portrait, Classic Worried Portrait, and Classic Raised Eyebrow Portrait, with the last two getting their personality from subtle changes around the eye sockets and brow. Separate front and side views of the black hood reveal its deep opening and the layered wrap around the jawline.

The Havoc Staff replaces the usual purple skull treatment with a fiery orange ram skull and deeply ridged purple horns, tying it directly into Disco Skeletor’s color scheme. Its long metallic gold shaft carries restrained ornamental rings at the top and a pointed finial at the base, letting the elaborate skull remain the focus.

A closer look at the Havoc Staff reveals black paint sunk into the ram skull’s eye sockets and nasal cavity.

The Double Blade Sword gets two distinct guard treatments, one in fiery orange with sweeping wing-like forms and another in deep purple with curled, ram-horn shapes. Each design is presented in single- and double-bladed configurations, with faceted gold blades and claw-shaped pommels carrying the ornate styling from end to end.

From the back, the layered gold shoulder armor flares into sharp, feather-like plates, with orange beast-head detailing adding extra color around the upper harness. The Double Blade Sword runs diagonally across the armor, giving a clear sense of how its long blades sit against the figure’s elaborate 200X costume.

The oversized black arms give Disco Skeletor some serious bulk, ending in icy blue hands with long silver-painted nails that add another strange splash of color to the design. I really like how much is packed into the upper body, with the gold armor, orange skeletal details, and purple torso all layered together without losing that wonderfully weird Disco Skeletor look.

Across the chest, the broad gold plate is framed by horn-like spikes and an orange harness with a deep purple center medallion, giving the armor a wonderfully ornate 200X feel. The belt continues that approach with layered geometric panels and a small skull clasp tucked into the center.

Together, the Havoc Staff and Double Blade Sword make Disco Skeletor’s full display feel unusually cohesive, with their fiery orange sculpting echoing the smaller flame-like accents running down the gold armor.

Using both single-bladed Double Blade Sword configurations together emphasizes how differently the fiery orange winged guard and deep purple horned guard frame their matching gold blades.

Below the belt, the armor breaks into long gold center tabs and angular side plates, creating a layered continuation of the ornate chest design without hiding the black loincloth entirely.

A subtle satin sheen across the black hood and limbs keeps those darker sections from disappearing beside the glossy purple torso and reflective gold armor.

The portrait keeps the classic Skeletor look but pushes it in a much more colorful direction, with a bright orange skull set inside the black hood and heavy black paint around the eyes and mouth. I like the little hits of green around the face, which add another weird touch that works surprisingly well with all the gold, purple, and blue throughout the figure.

Tightly carved teeth and fine cracks around the cheek keep the glossy skull paint from flattening Disco Skeletor’s facial sculpt. Across the chest plate, a subtle pebbled texture and recessed panel lines break up the broad metallic gold surface.

The greaves give each leg its own profile, with orange knee plates, hooked gold trim, and recessed black accents carrying the ornate armor treatment all the way down to the feet.

The gold chest armor is loaded with sculpted details, from the raised spikes and layered shoulder plates to the small circular accents running across it. I really like the strange orange skeletal ornament stretched across the chest, especially that large purple center piece, which adds another burst of that wild Disco Skeletor color combination.

The gold armor covers Disco Skeletor from the broad shoulder plates down through the layered waist and shin guards, with orange accents breaking up the metallic finish. I love the contrast from the icy blue hands and feet against the black limbs, while the purple ram-headed staff brings even more of that wonderfully strange color mix into the figure.

The long segmented gold bracer on the upper orange arm echoes the ringed detailing of the Havoc Staff.

Taken as a complete design, Disco Skeletor’s concentrated gold armor keeps the elaborate costume visually coherent, while the darker limbs prevent the brighter colors from overwhelming the figure.
