Wings of Silver, nerves of steel, and thanks to Big Bad Toy Store, we have Flashback from the Silverhawks Wave 7 Super7 Ultimates for an in hand review! As we get deeper into the Silverhawks lines, the waves are going to contain more deep cut characters and this is no exception. This version of Flashback is dubbed as the Toon edition, so that begs the question, will we see a vac metal version of Flashback in the future? Only time will tell. But in the meantime, let’s take a look at the Flashback Silverhawks Wave 7 Super7 Ultimates in Hand review!

Where to Buy

Packaging
Flashback comes in the standard Super7 Ultimates window display packaging. But the neat thing about the Silverhawks Ultimate line is that the packaging has a stunning shinny finish with silver accents and an illustration and character bio on the rear.

The rear of the package contains an illustration of Flashback and a bio that reads “An experimental Silverhawk from the future, Flashback has the ability to travel through time, and it is unknown how far into the future he is from. Flashback is equipped with superior olive-green armor that coves the entirety of his body except his left arm and his lower half of his face. He has unique features including two claw like appendages making his feet more bird-like and eyes that are unusually large. It’s unknown whether they are part of his suit or his real eyes. His fighting hawk’s name is Backlash.”

Packout
Flashback is full of really cool accessories and you can see his packout below. You will notice how many alternate hands that Flashback includes. I like the expressive hands, and pointing finger hand. The one that confuses me is that he comes with 2 pairs of gripping hands, yet he has no accessories to grip on to. There is no blaster or anything like that, so why Super7 included not one, but 2 sets of gripping hands, I will not understand. And one set is a trigger hand, so you would think he would have had a blaster of some sort?!

Flashback includes the following accessories
- Flashback figure
- Alternate head sculpt
- 9 Interchangeable hands
- Alternate winged pair of arms
- 2 Laser beam effect pieces
- Backlash (perched) mini figure
- Backlash (flying) mini figure
Here we can see Flashback’s fighting bird companion Backlash. You get two versions of Backlash, with open wings in flight position, and with closed wings that are tucked up against his body.

From the 29th century by way of the 1980s, this SilverHawks ULTIMATES! Flashback Action Figure will be a timeless addition to any SilverHawks or retro-toy collection!

Super7 has been doing a phenomenal job with their Ultimates offerings, bringing out both core characters and lesser-expected ones, and Flashback and Backlash definitely fit into that second category in the best way possible. The first addition to the Wave 7 lineup is none other than the unforgettable duo, Flashback and Backlash, characters who really stand out as some of the more unique designs in the Silverhawks universe. This one of those moments where the Ultimates line keeps surprising us by digging deeper into the roster and giving collectors something fresh to anticipate.

Notice how you can add the blast effects to his shoulder ports.

You can pose Flashback and Backlash in either his open wing mode as shown below or in his closed wing mode.

And to give Flashback even more variety choose to use his arms with open wings or non winged arms.

I really love the splayed alternate flat hands he comes with so you can use them while he is in flight mode.

I love this expressive pointing finger left hand coupled with his open mouth expressive face, it’s like he’s speaking to you!

Figure Details
Let’s take a closer look at Flashback and enjoy all the details this stunning figure has to offer. Here you can see the beautiful olive green color to his suit armor. He has ports in his shoulders for the blast effects, large bird-like eyes and bird-like feet.

Taking a look at Flashback from the right and left sides, you can see that he closely resembles the rest of his Silverhawk bird friends.

Getting a closer look at Flashback two included heads, you can see that he has a stoic facial expression on one and a smiling open mouth expression on the other. You will also notice that his eyes that are unusually large, and it’s unknown whether they are part of his suit or his real eyes.

Taking a look at his arms, he is very similar to the other Silverhawks, where he has his right arm covered in his olive green armor, and a left flesh exposed arm with a wrist bracer.

As the bio on the rear of his package read “He has unique features including two claw like appendages making his feet more bird-like.

About Flashback
Flashback wears an olive-green SilverHawk suit with an owl-inspired design. The suit fully covers his body except for his left arm and the lower half of his face. His feet are shaped like bird talons, each featuring two claw-like extensions on the sides. He is also distinguished by large lavender, cat-like eyes, though it’s unclear if these are part of his natural appearance or integrated into the suit.

According to Flashback | ThunderCats wiki | Fandom:
Flashback is a green-colored SilverHawk first introduced in the episode “Flashback“. He is the second of the new officers to join the SilverHawks stationed in the Limbo Galaxy after Hotwing, and followed by Moon Stryker and Condor. His fighting hawk is Backlash.

Here we get a look at the vintage Flashback figure from the SilverHawks line, complete with his companion bird Backlash. Flashback is decked out in a shiny metallic green suit with wing extensions and silver accents, while his left arm is left bare to show skin tone. The figure comes with Backlash, a silver bird accessory that attaches to his arm. On card, you can see the classic Kenner packaging with Flashback secured in the bubble alongside his bird, and loose he shows off his articulated limbs and the reflective finish of his suit.
