GI Joe 40th Anniversary Live Stream Reveals & HasLab Sky Striker Update

During Hasbro’s G.I. Joe 40th Anniversary Live Stream, there were some in-hand production updates to the previous retro O-ring Line reveals and an amazing new cross over in-hand production reveal as well! So let’s take a closer look at what was revealed today:

O-Ring Reveals

G.I. Joe Cobra Officer & Cobra Trooper O-Ring 2-Pack: These retro inspired 3.75-inch-scale figures come in a two-pack cardboard faux action figure case green colored box with beautiful artwork showing the two cobra characters similar to what was released for the Retro o-ring Storm Shadow /Snake Eyes two pack. Each figure will come on individual card backs, complete with the retro inspired packaging that features that all too familiar G.I. Joe ARAH burst! The bottom of the package is a weapons cache filled with additional accessories to pack out your Cobra Trooper and Officer – including a mortar bazooka, assault weapons, stands and much more.

The front of the G.I. Joe Cobra Officer & Cobra Trooper O-Ring 2-Pack box features vivid artwork set in a dense jungle environment, with sunlight filtering through the foliage in the background. The carded packaging for the G.I. Joe Cobra Officer and Cobra Trooper O-Ring figures captures the look and feel of the classic 1980s A Real American Hero line. Each figure is displayed on a single card back with vibrant character artwork set against the iconic orange explosion burst, instantly recognizable to vintage collectors. The “Cobra Enemy!” logo is prominently featured on the upper right, just as it appeared in the original releases, while the large G.I. Joe logo spans the top with its signature red, white, and blue stripes. The figure is housed in a clear plastic blister alongside its weapon, allowing a full view of the accessories and details, exactly like the retro 3.75-inch figures that inspired this reissue.

These new 3 3/4″ figures will bring back that nostalgia of the vintage Cobra Officer & Cobra Trooper with original o-ring design which are for high articulated and give you that classic G.I. Joe poseability we all know and love. The Cobra Officer wears a blue uniform with a silver Cobra emblem on the chest, black gloves, boots, and harnesses with detailed pouches and straps. In the first image, he holds a black rifle in both hands, positioned as if ready for use. The second image shows him gripping the rifle across his torso, offering a clear view of the molded gear on his vest and belt. In the third image, he carries a large black bazooka over his shoulder, with his other arm bent to balance the weapon.

The Cobra Trooper is shown posed in front of a classic explosion burst backdrop, wearing a blue uniform accented with black boots, gloves, and chest harness. In the first image, he holds a black rifle across his torso with both hands, ready for action. The second view captures him in a similar stance but angled slightly differently, highlighting the silver armband and detailed web gear. Transformers Collaborative: G.I. Joe Mash-Up, Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank and Baroness

More than meets the eye when worlds collide in this newly revealed Transformers-G.I. Joe mash-up pack! Megatron from the Decepticons and The Cobra Baroness team up to defeat G.I. Joe and conquer the world! Megatron is disguised as a Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank with the Baroness taking the wheel. This new tank is in scale with the 1983 H.I.S.S tank. The Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank converts from its robot form into the Cobra tank we all know and love! The Baroness can sit in the barrel while in a transformed position and even includes a fusion cannon! The packaging is spectacular with it’s spilt apart design – half Transformers half G.I. Joe images. The Baroness comes on her own retro inspired card back. The back of the card back includes an image of Baroness and hiss tank and file card. This is an awesome classic 80’s inspired mash-up that is a must buy in my book!

Haslab – Sky Striker Project Update

The team revealed today the new code name and file for co-pilot Wayne Ruthel-Fail Safe. Fail safe gets a complete file card in English only. Emily explained that since Hasbro is a global company, they need to have multiple languages on the file cards for items distributed globally. But since the Sky Striker Haslab project is only being sold in US and UK, they can give us pure retro replica packaging in English only L1 file card, with full character bio.
