Check out this amazing VAMP GI Joe Classified Series rear gunner deck, solving a long time design issue that plagued the vehicle
I am going to start off this post by posing a really simple question! They the ‘F’ didn’t the GI Joe Classfiied Series VAMP come with a rear gunner deck??? Sometimes we come across things that are so brilliant that we need to share them with everyone! The one pet peeve about the VAMP was the there was no place for a gunner to properly mount the rear of the vehicle. Thanks to Stonegate Creations, he’s solved this issue by created this custom GI Joe 2024 Classified Vamp 112 3D Printed rear gunner deck, which was a brilliant idea! Each set includes a left and right deck but he’s since modified the design and said the small center piece shown in the pictures has been added to the decks and is no longer a separate piece. In order to give the gunner a more comfortable and naturally looking position, he also made a taller gun mount.

As Stonegate Creations explains, “The set is completely 3d printed in brand name black PLA+ filament. Each deck has diamond plate details with 2ea foot pegs for mounting two figures. The heighted gun mount allows same left-right rotation as the original but has added clearance to elevate the guns more skyward with the gunner standing upright. The guns will remain in posed position by friction. The decks snap onto the rear bumper bar and remain in place. Decks were also designed with outside turning clearance for towable trailers like the upcoming MMS.” He’s though of everything as you can still have a workable platform for when the Joe Team finally reveals the MMS.
Airborne looks like a badass standing on the rear of the VAMP and this is what the vehicle looks like without the taller gunner mount modification. Airborne literally has to ride cowboy style on the back of the VAMP (yee haw), which is not a great position to be in.
About SGCS
Stonegate Creations Studio (SGCS) is a Service-Disabled Veteran owned certified business registered under a series LLC in the state of Texas. I use the word “we” a lot in general when describing Stonegate Creations because I wouldn’t be doing this without the support, encouragement, and inspiration of my family, but the day-day operations is just me: some guy named Fred.
SGCS started in 2009 as a Halloween prop-making business with a product called Skull-Ezz, inspired by the Paris catacombs. These were a variety of specially formulated plaster skulls that could be mounted on walls, tombstones, or other surfaces both indoors and outdoors. Professional haunted houses and home haunt enthusiasts throughout the country used them. I was tracking close to 20 states these were shipped to during their initial run, but they were a seasonal item and production slowly ceased. The original molds are in storage so maybe they will make a comeback one day.
SGCS was re-born in 2017 making custom GI Joe HISS tank accessories using our first 3d printers. Soon after requests came in to make other items and the GI Joe reproductions expanded along with Buck Rogers, Space 1999, and some Star Wars stuff. Injection molding was the first real capital investment and from there the capabilities and products grew each year.
