The MOTU Community was sent all a twitter (pardon the pun) when a tweet simple tweet from a fan asking an innocent question turned into a rumor that the He-Man and Masters of the Universe Netflix animated series was “canceled or just taking a while to finish the next season.” Originally reported by the amazing MOTU website, For Eternia, they reported that the series had been cancelled based on the tweet reply from @amandadeibert to a fan, which said “It was not renewed for more,” which made fans immediately jump to the conclusion that the highly anticipated Season 4 was cancelled. We’ve come across some info that we’d like to throw in this discussion as food for thought as, maybe, the fourth season of the series might be still in the works.

Here is the tweet and reply that started it all:

Fans immediately jumped to the conclusion that Season 4 is cancelled, and rightfully so. What Amanda was trying to convey in her follow up was her disappointment that this conclusion was made. How shall we interpret her message? Well, there are a couple ways to interpret what she tweeted. First, the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Netflix animated series is cancelled altogether. This is probably true but what we don’t know, because we are not in the industry, is how many more Seasons of the show there will be until it gets ultimately cancelled. Second, give her reply, she was expressing the fact that she didn’t say the show was canceled but there was no more renewal to her knowledge. This is a very key part that fans missed in her first message. She was simply stating a fact that the series was “not renewed for more” but made no other comments relating to the future of Season four.

Is Season 4 Coming to Netflix?

Covered on a site by the name of Whenetflix reported that season 4 of the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Netflix animated series will “return on Thursday, August 17, 2023 near similar time as previous.”

We are not sure where this website has sourced this information but it seems to cooberate the tweet that Amanda replied when she said:

y’all. I didn’t say it was canceled. There has been no renewal to my knowledge. That is all I know and I am really quite mad that this is being turned into a news story. I don’t know anything more than any of you and I am very unhappy with the tweets implicating i said more.
