Hordak MOTU Origins Turtles of Grayskull Official Images

Thanks to Paulmart for uploaded official images of the Turtles of Grayskull Hordak figure. Hordak’s official images have been very hard to pun down as only the image on the white background was released until today! In a rare treat, we got in-hand images of the Turtles of Grayskull Hordak ahead of the official images but it’s always great to see how the professional photoshoots of the figures turn out.

Hordak Official Images

Hordak comes packed with his red bat wings and a crazy mutagen ooze arm cannon! His subtitle reads “Hordak – Rutheless Master of the Ooze Pit.”

The killer accessories that make this figure the standout in the wave are the red wings that are articulated.

The smirk on Hordak’s face looks classic and gives the figure a ton of personality! The mutagen cannon arm with the blast effect is so freakin cool and I love the tube that connects to his arm.

Hordak In-Hand Images

While the Toy Sorceress was out having an enjoyable toy hunt at her local toy shop TOTU Torrance (@toysoftheuniverse), she stumbled upon 3 out of 4 the Turtles of Grayskull MOTU Origins Wave 4 figures! The owner of the shop was nice enough to allow her to photograph the figures as they had Hordak, Ninja Stealth He-Man and Ninja Stealth Leo. These looked to be production samples as they seem to have labels on them showing what stage of production they were in, which here is labeled “PP, perhaps “Pre-Production.” With these photos, we also go to see the card back art and got some new figure teases as well! Once Mr. Home Arcade heard that we had located these figures, we brokered a deal between TOTU Torrance (@toysoftheuniverse) and Mr. Home Arcade and he finally has the figures in-hand and was amazing enough to send us photos so we can share them with you. Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about Stealth Leo and He-Man as those pics will be coming in a follow up in-hand article! We also purposefully left out the Turtles of Grayskull Wave 4 mini comic because collector’s are going to lose their 💩 they see who is teased in it so look out for a followup article!

Hordak Packaging

This is the first time we get to see more of the Turtles of Grayskull Hordak figure, as we only got one official image released of him! He comes packed with red bat wings and a crazy mutagen ooze arm cannon! You can see his card back reads ” Hordak-Rutheless Master of the Ooze Pit” Here we get another tease right in the text of the card back! There must be an Ooze Pit for him to be a master of. Not only does the text on the front of the package give us a tease, but the art work in the back does as well! Here we can see Hordak battling against Splinter Skull in what looks like a scene next to the Ooze pit!

Here is a photo of the UPC so you can take it to Walmart or Target and you can scan it up to see if it is in-store or online.

Figure Details

Hordak has a crocked scowl on his face, like he is pissed off! His chest armor has a huge red Horde bat on his chest which is very cool. The addition of the wings is iconic because it pays homage to the Horde symbol and it’s just a killer way to display Hordak!

There are several ways to pose him and you can even take a cape from an earlier MOTU Origins Hordak release to give him a different look! The armor, from the back, has lots of sculpted details and the ports where the wings go on.

From the side view, you can get a closer look at his mutatigin device that attaches to his right arm and the standard left arm! The blast effect adds a very cool accessory! The shoulder armor also has some cool spiked sculpting on it.

The wings are a work of art and I love the design. They can articulate and you can see through parts of them as it is not one solid piece.

The wings are bast in a red plastic with black accents, resembling a bat wing.

You can also dress hordak down and remove his hood and armor for different display options.

Accessories

Hordak comes with chest armor, an ornate waist piece, his hood, a blast effect, and a mutagen cannon arm.

The waist piece is so detailed and you can even make out Hordak’s face! It is shaped like a crown but goes over the fury loin cloth belt.

The mutagen arm cannon is freakin awesome! It is highly detailed with silver and green paint apps and it even has a tube running from the cannon to his arm cuff.

Without the blast effect, it looks amazing and is a very cool piece of tooling to add to the MOTU Origins colleciton!

Comparisons and Swapping

Here are the Hordak’s past and present in a lineup! The Turtles of Grayskull Hordak definitely stands out among the rest!

You can even swap heads with the Horde Trooper Prime figure as the hood is removable, which is a first for Hordak! He looks freakin awesome!

Mr. Home Arcade also used the light gray buck to show you what he could look like!

He also included a darker gray buck and put the wings and armor on him and he looks fantastic!
