Jada Toys Mega Man Elec Man In Hand Review

I always loved Elec Man. Out of all the original Robot Masters from the first Mega Man game, he just had that swagger, you know? The sleek design, the confident pose on the stage select screen, and the fact that he could wipe you out in three hits if you weren’t careful. He was Dr. Light’s masterpiece gone rogue, and he knew it. Capcom gave us six Robot Masters in that original 1987 lineup, and Elec Man stood apart with his sharp, almost regal look. He wasn’t bulky like Guts Man or quirky like Cut Man. He was fast, dangerous, and cool. That combination made him an instant icon for anyone who grew up running through those stages on the NES. Now Jada Toys is working their way through the classic Mega Man roster with their 1/12 scale line, and seeing Elec Man get the action figure treatment at this scale and this price point is genuinely exciting. For around twenty dollars, you’re getting a detailed 4-inch figure with 15 points of articulation, alternate hands, an alternate head, a lightning bolt accessory, and a display stand. That is a packed little box for the money. What really catches my eye is how clean and faithful the sculpt looks to his original game design. That yellow and black color scheme, the sharp lines of his helmet, the sleek proportions. Jada has been doing a wonderful job capturing the spirit of these classic 8-bit characters and translating them into three-dimensional figures that feel right in your hands. And I love that the packaging itself includes nostalgic details pulled from the original game. It’s a nice touch that shows the team behind this line genuinely cares about the source material. So let’s take a look at this Elec Man in hand review! We want to give a huge thanks to Big Bad Toy Store for sending us this Jada Toys Mega Man Elec Man for review, and if he has been on your must have list, you can still grab him now at Big Bad Toy Store.

Packaging

The packaging leans hard into that classic Mega Man energy, with a bold blue and white bordered window box and a stylized illustration of Elec Man in the lower right corner, crackling with electricity. You can see a nice assortment through the plastic window, including an alternate screaming head, translucent yellow lightning bolt accessory, swap hands, and what looks like an orange circuit-patterned stand tucked along the left side.

Here’s a closer look at the back of the box, which features a clean reference photo of Elec Man alongside his translucent yellow lightning bolt accessory. The bold blue background with subtle circuit-style border framing gives the whole package a retro game-cartridge feel that I think works really well for this character.

The side panel features a large 8-bit pixel art sprite of Mega Man in his classic blue and teal color scheme, printed directly onto the box’s deep blue gradient. I like how the clear window wraps around the side just enough to give you a peek at the figure and some of its accessories tucked inside the tray.

The opposite side panel mirrors the same deep blue gradient but gives you a different angle on the pixel art sprite, this time showing Mega Man’s jumping pose with those chunky teal and blue blocks really popping against the darker tones. Through the wrap-around window on this side, you can just barely make out the translucent yellow lightning bolt and the warm orange of the included stand pressed against the red inner tray.

Figure Details

Elec Man’s color scheme really pops in person, with that deep charcoal bodysuit broken up by bright red arms and oversized yellow boots that nail the chunky, stylized proportions of the original game art. The yellow lightning bolt emblem on his chest armor and the matching bolt sculpted into his helmet tie the whole design together nicely, and those sharp blue eyes with the angular yellow mask frame his determined little smirk perfectly.

Here’s a closer look at Elec Man from the side, and I’m really digging how his oversized red fists have a satisfying roundness to them that leans into that exaggerated, super-deformed game aesthetic. The yellow belt wrapping around his waist provides a clean visual break between the black torso armor and the lower body, and you can just make out the lightning bolt emblem peeking through on his chest plate.

Here’s a closer look at Elec Man from the back, and the sculpt doesn’t skimp on detail here. Twin blue vents flanking three small yellow dots run down the center of his back armor, adding some nice mechanical texture to what could have been a plain dark shell.

You can see how the large circular eye on the side of Elec Man’s helmet has a subtle green iris detail surrounded by a gray ring, giving his profile a distinctly robotic feel that’s different from the sharper blue eyes on the front-facing mask. The yellow wrist cuff creates a crisp color transition between the red forearm and the oversized fist, and those chunky yellow boots have a smooth, glossy finish with a nice rounded toe that keeps the proportions fun and cartoon-accurate.

Elec Man comes equipped with a solid spread of accessories, and here you get a nice look at everything laid out together. The alternate screaming head has a wider open mouth and slightly different eye expression compared to the default, and that translucent yellow lightning bolt accessory has a great jagged, organic shape with a warm amber tint that should look fantastic snapped into his swap hands.

The alternate screaming head really sells the attitude here, with that wide-open mouth and intensely furrowed brow giving Elec Man a completely different energy than his default smirking expression. Those glossy yellow boots have a great weight to them at this scale, and the 15 points of articulation let you get him into expressive poses like this without the joints fighting you.

One thing I noticed right away is the open pointing hand, which has individually sculpted fingers with a nice separation between them, and the red-to-yellow color transition at the wrist cuff is just as sharp here as on the closed fist. The black torso has a subtle glossy sheen that contrasts well against the matte finish of the red arm segments, creating a layered look across the different armor sections.

The translucent yellow lightning bolt accessory has a fantastic swirling, almost flame-like quality to it that wraps around Elec Man’s pointing finger, and the warm amber color complements the yellow accents on his helmet and boots perfectly. Something I appreciate here is how well the alternate screaming head pairs with this accessory, the wide-open mouth and furrowed brow selling the moment of unleashing his Thunder Beam.

Sporting the alternate screaming head and the translucent lightning bolt accessory, this is a great showcase of how Elec Man’s swap hands work, with the open grip hand wrapping cleanly around the bolt’s base where it connects near the wrist. The red and yellow striping on his forearms and boots creates a strong visual rhythm that keeps your eye moving across the figure, and those chunky proportions hold up well from every angle.
