King Hiss MOTU Chronicles Mattel Creations Official Images and Preorder Info
After Mattel pulled back the curtain on King Hiss with an early tease not long ago, collectors have been waiting for the full reveal and preorder details, and now we’ve got both. The Masters of the Universe Chronicles King Hiss Action Figure is set to go live on September 2, 2026 at 9am PT exclusively through Mattel Creations, priced at $33.00, and the official images give us a thorough look at what Mattel has cooked up for the leader of the Snake Men. Standing at 6.5 inches with 30 points of articulation, King Hiss comes loaded with the kind of feature set that this character demands, including interchangeable arms and a swappable head that lets you display him in either his deceptive human guise or his true serpentine form. I love how the snake form head features articulating jaws and removable tongues across all the snake heads, which is exactly the kind of playability and display versatility that makes a figure like this worth owning in a premium line. The scaly skin texture across the sculpt looks sharp in these photos, with a snakeskin-like surface treatment that carries through the entire body and really sells the monstrous nature hiding beneath the disguise. King Hiss has always been one of the more compelling MOTU characters because of that duality, and giving collectors the ability to swap between both identities at this price point feels like a solid value. September is just around the corner, but marking that date on your calendar now would be wise since Mattel Creations exclusives tend to move quickly once they go live.

Masters of the Universe Chronicles King Hiss Action Figure
King Hiss’s full accessory spread lays out the interchangeable head, two snake arms with their serpent heads, a pair of fisted hands, and the cobra-hooded snake head. The human form interchangeable arms have a clean sculpted scale texture that transitions from green at the shoulders into darker tones at the forearms, matching the lower body color separation.

King Hiss is fully decked out in his snake form here, with two serpent heads featuring open articulating jaws and forked removable tongues. The snakeskin-like texture detailing covers the entire body, from the scaled torso and snake arms down to the lower legs, and the silver chest armor and ornate belt add a nice contrast against all that green.

The interchangeable head sculpt for King Hiss’s human form has sharp, angular features with a subtle smirk carved into the lower face. His helmet has a fan-shaped crest with a green gem at the center, and ribbed side panels that curl down past the jaw.

The snake arms have a dense, individually sculpted scale pattern that runs their full length, each terminating in a serpent head with detailed teeth and a pink forked removable tongue. A red loincloth hangs from the ornate belt, and the lower legs that look like wrapped bandages that leave the green feet exposed.

From the back, the silver chest armor features an intricate embossed serpent motif at its center, and the ornate belt carries similarly detailed scrollwork across its full width.

The silver chest armor has a sculpted snake coiled around its perimeter, with a small face carved into the body of the serpent, and the shield-like plate beneath it carries a central raised orb surrounded by wing-shaped ridging. The alternate snake head can be seen up close and those big red eyes look awesome!

The box artwork is packed with snake energy, featuring King Hiss in his snake form flanked by his massive alter ego in the background, while smaller Snake Men warriors battle in the misty green foreground below.

The back of the box features the actual King Hiss figure in his snake form, set against Snake Mountain backdrop with rivers of molten lava and a towering dark figure looming in the background. Two smaller product photos on the right side show the human form, highlighting the interchangeable arms and head swap.

The box opens to reveal a rich golden artwork on the inside of the lid, depicting King Hiss in his human form, surrounded by ornate serpentine scrollwork and glowing orbs. The interior panel opposite features a white line drawing of the snake form against the dark box surface, serving as the collectible backdrop display insert.
