Lion-O Super7 Ultimates Hook Mountain Color Changing SDCC 2022 Exclusive
Super7 dropped a color changing Lion-O Hook Mountain SDCC 2022 exclusive today that turns blue or back to normal skin when exposed to light!
Are you hot or cold on this figure? Just a little action figure humor to kick this off! Well, Super7 dropped a San Diego Comic Con exclusive color changing Lion-O they are dubbing Hook Mountain! The kicker is, it’s a freakin’ color changing figure that, when exposed to sunlight, changes color from regular skin to blue skin and vice versa! This reminds me of a certain color changing figure from the 80’s, Zartan!
UPDATE: Leftover SDCC 2022 Exclusives Available to Purchase on 7/25/2022
As a reminder, Lion-O (Hook Mountain Ice) color changing Thundercats Ultimate figure will be available for purchase if they have leftovers (sounds like dinner!). According to Super7, this and other exclusives will be available to purchase starting at 10am PT on July 25, 2022.
Super7 has attended every San Diego Comic-Con since 2003, so it was extra special for us to be back in our SDCC booth this weekend!

Super7 has put more images of the SDCC exclusive Hook Mountain Lion-O figure on their website so bookmark this page if you are not attending the con and want to preorder the figure.! There is a very cool shot of the figure laying in a snow scene with the Thundercats logo showing on his belt with his closed eyes head sculpt. We also get a better look at the weapons and accessories and you can some of the snow effects so much better!
Along with the digital renders of the figure, we also get more detailed renders of the box and the slip cover, which we have not seen before. The slip cover is an ice blue color scheme with snow adorning the Thundercats symbol. Tough to say at the moment whether this slip cover or the box will have SDCC exclusive branding on it but we shall wait and see!
Lion-O Hook Mountain Super7 Ultimates Figure
The cool factor (pun intended) is obviously the color changing skin but let’s take a closer look at the figure itself. It appears that the head sculpt that is on the figure in the package has closed eyes, which we have not seen on a Super7 figure before that is a slight change in paint application to make this effect.
Lion-O Super7 Variants
There have been a couple Lion-O variants that Super7 has released and it looks like the color changing Hook Mountain figure comes with the standard accessories with some snow effects.
