Mer-Man He-Man Masters of the Universe Large Figure Official Images and Preorder
The large format Mer-Man figure has hit Amazon and is up for preorder with a release date of November 1, 2022. This is the first in package shot we’ve seen of this figure, although we did see his mini me version on display at SDCC 2022. Clad in greens and golds, this Mer-Man will fit nicely into your Netflix animated He-Man figure collection!
Netflix Animated Appearance
Mer-Man made his debut in the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Netflix animated series in Season 3 and was in the following episodes:
Duncan, Teela and Eldress try to get their tech to work underwater to escape the Mer-Man, he explains that all of the Mer-People are gone and he is all that remains from a bygone era of gore and blood. First and now last of the Mer-Folk, he unleashes an underwater sonic waves to distort his foes and disorient them. Mer-Man is guarding the tomb of the once fallen King Grayskull and the Heroic are on a quest to prevent this from happening and, surprise, the Evil Warriors would love to see this happen! Mer-Man exclaims that he has waited for his one true King to be reborn!
According to CBR, we did see Mer-Man make his debut in the trailer for Season 3:
Notably also debuting in the trailer is Mer-Man, the traditionally stoic, ocean-faring villain who often found himself at odds with He-Man and Skeletor alike. In addition to an updated traditional design, one sequence sees He-Man at the mercy of a massive, snake-like Mer-Man form that evokes imagery of Pokémon’s Gyarados. Mer-Man is only a brief mention in the trailer itself, but given his prominence in the greater lore of Masters of the Universe, it’s a safe bet that the fishy fiend will be a serious threat to the team.

Core Figure Reveal at SDCC 2022
At San Diego Comic Con, the Mer-Man core figure was revealed in Mattel’s booth. The larger format figures are typically more articulated and have a more detailed sculpt given the size but the Mer-Man 5.5 score figure and the large format figure look very similar.
