Super7 just lit up the Microverse with a brand new tease for their upcoming Micronauts Super7 ReAction+ line, but something curious has fans scratching their heads! The post calls out Force Commander as the leader of the charge against Baron Karza, rallying the rebellion to “save the Microverse.” The only problem? The robot featured in the teaser image doesn’t appear to be Force Commander at all as it’s actually Microtron based on what we can find from the vintage figure! Whether this was a mix up, an early mislabel, or a clever red herring, only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: the Micronauts are officially making their return! UPDATE: Super7 just cleared up the mystery surrounding their earlier Micronauts tease by officially dropping Wave 2 of their Super7 ReAction+ line for preorder—and yes, it includes both Microtron and Force Commander! What looked like a mislabel earlier now makes perfect sense, as both classic figures are joining the expanding Microverse lineup alongside Baron Karza and the rest of the crew. It’s awesome to see Super7 dive deeper into this vintage-inspired world, bringing these iconic characters back with their signature retro styling. With Wave 2 now up for preorder, the Micronauts revival is in full swing, and longtime fans have plenty to get excited about! Huge thanks to @toyhuntershollow for the heads up! The figures are now up for preorder on Super7 & Big Bad Toy Store:

Microtron

Microtron rolls in with his distinctive tank treads, dual red wheels, and metallic drill nose, capturing that unmistakable 1970s Takara-meets-Mego charm. Originally released in Japan as Micro Robot-1 in the Microman Spy Magician wave, the figure was rebranded by Mego with updated stickers and the friendlier “seat” head for Western audiences. His motorized movement, chrome claws, and mechanical body design showcase how Mego preserved Takara’s ingenious engineering while giving the toy a unique Micronauts identity.

From the side, Microtron’s design shows off his compact engineering and layered mechanical detailing. His chrome arms extend forward with articulated claw hands, while his blue treads and side-mounted gears emphasize his motorized functionality. The red head dome and bright side decals bring a burst of color to the mostly white and blue body, highlighting the intricate sculpt work that Mego carried over into the Micronauts line with very few changes.

Force Commander

Force Commander was the leader of the Micronauts. A Magno-powered figure, he stood 8″ tall, towering over the average 3 3/4″ Micronauts. The figure features a smooth white body accented by red highlights, giving off a sleek, futuristic vibe. Standing 8 inches tall, this Magno-powered leader of the Micronauts sports a red-tipped missile launcher in his torso, with matching projectiles that fire from his fists. His limbs and head are magnetically attached, allowing for flexible articulation and creative recombinations, including his ability to merge with his horse companion, Oberon, to form a centaur-like figure. The jet pack mounted on his back, topped with two red spears, adds a commanding presence to his overall design.

The vintage Force Commander set shown here includes the complete figure, accessories, packaging, and inserts, beautifully preserved in its original styrofoam tray. The figure’s white Magno-powered body with red detailing stands beside its signature red-tipped missile launchers and interchangeable parts. Seeing everything laid out like this really highlights how intricate and well-engineered this 8-inch Micronauts leader was, from his firing fists to his modular design.
