Modulok Masters of the Universe Origins Official and In-Hand Images

Some official images the Masters of the Universe Modulok have been floating around the net! Revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2024, the Evil Beast of a Thousand Bodies looks amazing and the box pays homage to Modulok’s vintage box. The box front is a nice blend of the old style box with the figure on display front and center in a nice window display. The box says that he comes 34 pieces to create 1000+ monsters, which is exactly like the vintage design. Modulok has yet to go up for preorder in the U.S. but the Small Tiny Toy Store in Germany has put him up, which we have linked below. Huge thanks to masterversal_toyhunter and toyhuntershollow for the heads up! Check out the Modulok Masters of the Universe Origins official images of the box front, figure, and shipper box! We also have an in-hand image!

The Modulok sculpt mirrors the vintage design with some slight modification and more details. You can see his classic double blasters on display and some of the parts that will be used to create the 1000+ creatures.

During SDCC 2024, Modulok was revealed in a separate section from the Mattel Creations exclusive reveals. Modulok is spec’d out to be an Amazon exclusive, according to a Mattel rep in the SDCC 2024 booth. The most distinctive feature of Modulok is his modularity, hence the name. The vintage figure came with multiple interchangeable parts, including heads, torsos, arms, legs, and tails and we expect nothing less from his MOTU Origins design. These parts can be assembled in various combinations to create different creature forms. We are eager to see the packaging as Modulok was sold in a distinctive box, rather than the standard blister card used for most MOTU figures. The box showcased the figure’s modularity, displaying some of the different combinations possible with the parts inside. Like other online retailer exclusives, rest of world websites should be getting preorders for Modulok and the Small Tiny Toy Store, an online retailer based in Germany, has put Modulok up for preorder!

Modulok

Although Modulok was in the Cartoon Collection display, he will be an Amazon exclusive! Modulok is primarily red, with his body parts featuring various textures and shapes that resemble a combination of insect and alien anatomy. He has multiple heads, each with distinct faces, and his limbs are muscular with clawed hands and feet. His overall design is meant to be monstrous and intimidating although he did play a role as scientist in the Filmation series.

Here are some closeups of his tail piece as well as a cool Horde shield and his blasters. We hope these are not all of the accessories that Modulok comes with as that would be disappointing! We need the Evil Beast of a Thousand bodies to come with everything the vintage figure came with!
