MOTU Chronicles and Core Figures Hitting Walmart Stores

Hot off the press, and this is one of those moments that makes the hunt so thrilling. Massive thanks to @aztoyhuntersguild on Instagram for coming through with photographic proof that the new Masters of the Universe movie basic figures and Chronicles figures have started hitting Walmart shelves in Phoenix, Arizona, well ahead of the official April 25, 2026 launch date. If you’ve been keeping an eye on these, now is the time to start checking your local stores because once they show up in one region, it usually doesn’t take long for the rest of the country to follow. On the core movie side, we’re seeing Skeletor, Mekaneck, and the Skel-Knight popping up on the pegs, while the Chronicles assortment is bringing He-Man, Man-At-Arms, and Tri-Klops into the mix, which gives collectors a nice spread across both hero and villain camps right out of the gate. It’s always interesting when figures land early like this because it signals that distribution is already rolling and Walmart’s system is clearly not holding these back for a hard street date, which means your window to grab them before the wider rush is right now. Whether you’re picking these up to get a feel for the movie aesthetic, army building Skel-Knights, or you just want that Mekaneck in hand because, honestly, a movie Mekaneck is something none of us saw coming a few years ago, the hunt is officially on. MOTU Chronicles Wave 1

Three MOTU Chronicles figures are showing up on shelves ahead of their official street date. He-Man, Man-At-Arms, and Tri-Klops are all packaged in window boxes with cosmic-themed card art, and it’s cool to see these hitting retail in Phoenix courtesy of the AZ Toy Hunters Guild spotting them early.

The box art features a painted illustration of He-Man with flowing blonde hair and silver armor, set against a deep space backdrop with a glowing planetary ring. His Power Sword is mounted in the tray beside the figure, and the metallic silver on the chest armor’s cross emblem catches the eye even through the window.

The back of the MOTU Chronicles box shows the dark packaging with the UPC barcode and product codes printed on the bottom panel. It’s nice to see these popping up on Walmart pegs, giving collectors a heads-up to start checking their local stores ahead of the official launch.

The Man-At-Arms box features painted artwork of the character in a helmeted, battle-worn expression, set against the same cosmic backdrop with a glowing planetary ring. A gold mace is packed in the tray alongside the figure, who wears layered green and tan armor with silver accents across the chest plate and leg guards.

Skel-Knight’s packaging shows the figure clad in layered gray and black armor with a skull-faced helmet, paired with a sword packed in the tray. The card art illustration at the bottom depicts him in a purple-hooded cloak wielding a curved blade, and I like how the painted style gives a different feel from the figure’s more straightforward armored look.
