The Mattel Creations MOTU Origins Camo Khan is here for our in hand review! Inspired by Kobra Khan Camuflado figure from 1987 released in Argentina, Camo Khan is a highly anticipated Mattel Creations exclusive release. This new Camo Khan Figure looks absolutely amazing! Collector friendly where you can slide out the card and unfold it into a trifold card which reveals a really nice diorama. The trifold card features the backstory on Camo Kahn and how he came into the Masters of the Universe. Enchanted by Skeletor, Camo Khan was said to have new powers of camouflage, a more potent hypnotic mist, and the mystical Golden Claws of Crushing to handle the mightiest enemies. He has his regular vintage style head that we all know from Kobra Khan and also the flared Cobra head that we first saw from the Masters of the Universe Classics line two swappable heads.

Packaging
Camo Khan comes packaged in the same cardboard shipper box as all the rest of the MOTU Origins Mattel Creations exclusives. On one side there is the Rise of the Snake Men logo and on the other side is a beautiful sketch of Camo Khan!
Camo Khan comes packaged in the collector friendly slide off plastic packaging with a trifold card back that is filled with art work!
This artwork is a like MOTU eye candy! There is so much going on and so many characters teased here. We took an in-depth look at all the of the characters teased on Camo Khan’s art work in the following article MOTU-origins-camo-khan-card-art-teases (toyhabits.com)! This was one spectacular so be sure to check it out! The card sports the Rise of the Snake Men Origins theme as with the rest of the recently released Snake Men. The card back is FILLED to the brim with amazing character, creature and playset teases! We see a host of Powers of Grayskull characters from the front card art. With absolutely stunning artwork by Axel Gimenez, the Camo Khan card front features all sorts of exciting MOTU characters. We have Megator, King Hiss riding the Tyrantisaurus Rex. We can also see Tung Lashor who was also teased to be coming to the Origins line! King Grayskull is riding Bionatops, and as we saw on the Eternia display, there was an Origins version of King Grayskull as well! Then we see teases of Moss Man and Sharella, as we covered in Wun-Dar Card Art Teases New MOTU Origins Characters. Also pictured is Eldor, Squeeze and Tytus as well! There are so many characters here that we have either predicted thru previous card art teases or haven gotten leaks on, so it is very exciting to see these characters on this artwork!
You can see the incredible world of Preternia illustrated on the back of Camo Khan’s card back. We can see Laser Light Skeletor along with the recently announced Snake Mountain in the background. Here we see King Hiss illustrated again sitting on a throne with a host of other henchmen. Also Camo Khan is shown coming thru a magical portal with Terroar and Lord Gr’asp, approaching Laser Power He-Man and Moss-Man. Prominently featured on the Camo Khan card back artwork are a ton of Powers of Grayskull characters. We are now several years into the line, and maybe it’s about time we dive deeper into this exciting subline. A line that only had a few characters produced back in 1988, was never fully developed by Mattel because the line’s popularity was dying out by then. It included fantastic new characters, giants and the world of Preternia filled with robotic dinosaurs! It would be a dream come true if Mattel were to build out the Powers of Grayskull line!
Camo Khan Upclose and Personal
Heads
Flared Hooded Head
The vintage version came with the standard Kobra Khan head, but this new Mattel Creations version, in a special treat to collectors, comes packed with a very cool new flared head sculpt. This head sculpt is molded after the alternate head sculpt of the MOTU Classic Kobra Khan figure. His flared hood has some cool bright green gradated paint, yellow piercing eyes with bright green accents, bright red mouth and white teeth.
Classic Head
Camo Khan comes with the Kobra Khan head but with added paint apps. It has painted eyes, a red painted mouth and additional camo on the sides of his head. The Kobra Khan head has that same large open mouth as the vintage figure did, but this time instead of squirting water thru the hole in his mouth, you can plug in the blue translucent squirting effect piece instead. He also has the same face design with those red snake-like eyes, and scaly green head.
Chest & Back
Here we can see Camo Khan’s chest looking just like the vintage figure. Same scaley chest and back design with the striped accents. He has dark green camo pattern sprayed on his chest and back. Plus he is sporting that very cool bright green snake logo on his chest.
Arms, Waist, Legs
Arms
Camo Khan comes with the same arms as Kobra Khan. Kobra Khan used what look to be the standard MOTU Origins creature arms, but if you will notice the forearms are newly retooled to add some additional creature details sculpted into them. Then Camo Khan has dark green camo patterns on his arms. And the neat difference between Camo Khan and Kobra Khan is that Camo Khan comes with gold colored claw hands! Same hands as Buzz Off and Clawful small hand. You also get standards green hands as well to swap out if you like!
Waist
Camo Khan’s waist has the same style gold belt and light green scaly shorts as the vintage figure. It is the exact same sculpt as Kobra Khan.
Legs
Camo Khan uses the standard MOTU Origins green creature legs and creature boots in gold. These are the same legs as Kobra Khan but in the Camo Khan colors. His legs also have the dark green camouflage pattern painted on them.
Accessories
Camo Khan comes with several cool accessories:

Pistol
He comes with his classic orange blaster that matches the vintage one.
Club
Camo Khan comes packed with the same club that Clawful and Buzz-Off came packed with, but in an extra special vac metal shinny green finish!

He comes packed with a translucent blue squirting effect piece as well that plugs into the hole in his mouth
