MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection 3 Figure Waves Confirmed

It is confirmed that Mattel is moving the Cartoon Collection to 3 Figure Waves, which is great news as they have more figures on the horizon

With the reveal of the MOTU Origins Cartoon She-Ra figure, it is confirmed that Mattel is moving to a 3 figure wave for the time being. Up until now, the waves have consisted of 2 figures plus 2 MOTU Origins Fan Favorite reissues, making a total of 4 figures per wave. We’ve seen the WWE Superstars line do the same thing as they started off with 4 figure waves and then moved to 3 figures (plus a chase). In the cross sell for She-Ra, we see that like Mattel is moving to a Cartoon Collection wave with 3 figures in it, as it showcases Ram Man and Mantenna!

Given that we see the cross sell from the She-Ra figure, we see that Mantenna and Ram Man will part of this inaugural wave of 40th Anniversary She-Ra and the Princess of Power carded figures.

Mantenna

He comes with a character-accurate pop-out eye detail as seen in the episode “A Loss for Words.” 

She-Ra

She’s dressed in her classic battle-wear and comes armed with shield and sword accessories inspired by the episode “The Treasure of the First Ones.”

Ram Man

This Masters of the Universe toy has an idol accessory inspired by the “House of Shokoti” episode.

Cartoon Collection Wave 22?

Given then She-Ra, Mantenna, and Ram Man are taken up with Wave 22, that leaves four figures for contenders for Wave 23. We have Catra, Tri-Klops, Hordak, and Man-E-Faces left, which means there are more Cartoon Collection figures in the works and yet to be revealed to make up the waves. Who will make the cut?

Man-E-Faces

This Man-E-Faces Masters of the Universe toy comes with his signature rotatable face looming out of a helmeted harness and is inspired by the episode “The Mystery of Man-E-Faces”

Hordak

This Masters of the Universe toy comes with a removable harness and a time-stop device accessory inspired by the Princess of Power episode “Loo-Kee Lends a Hand.”

Tri-Klops

You’ll notice that his armor is a lighter green that what appears in the Filmation cartoon but he looks great with his hair hanging down. Looks like he’ll be packed with the Rock Softener featured in the The Royal Cousin Filmation Episode but we are unsure as we have not seen the entire accessory.

Catra

Catra is a welcomed addition to the Cartoon Collection line! She features her classic red mask red evil Horde dress with a purple plastic cape.

Another welcomed addition was Catra’s cat form along side her.
