While doing my usual Saturday morning shopping at Target, I wander down the toy aisle, as I usually do not expecting to find anything good, when I turn around and see Battlecat Man hanging on a peg! Then Lion-O and Cheetara were hanging behind him! I know I had these on preorder, but there’s nothing like that excitement of finding new cool figures out in the wild! These are not yet coming up in the Target app, but when they do, we will be sure to update you! The generic DCPI 087-267-998, priced at $19.99 each for these. In the meantime, let’s check out these MOTU Origins ThunderCats Wave 1 found in store at Target!

Lion-O
We can see Lion-O’s face up close in stunning detail as he grasps the Sword of Omens.

The packaging is outstanding and Roy Juarez and team did an amazing job! The illustrations look spectacular and combine the vintage MOTU and ThunderCats feels on the front and back of the card!

Cheetara
We can see the cool art panel from the video with an up close shot of Cheetara’s face and we can see part of Trap Jaw’s arm.

We can see Cheetara’s full art panel with a very cool tease of Trap Jaw! She is dubbed the “Fastest Feline in the Universe” and the back of her card reads “Beware, forces of evil! Nothing in the universe can match the speed of the ThunderCats ferocious warrior, Cheetara.

Battle Cat Man’s art panel shows up a close up his face with a nice shot of Beast Man in the background.

We can see his full art panel and he is dubbed “Most Powerful Cat in the Universe” with a very cool tease of Beast Man on the back of the card, which reads, ” After the destruction of Thundera, Battle Cat-Man crashed on Third Eternia and now proudly protects his adopted home world.”

As this is Mattel revealing these images, of course they would focus a shot of just Skeletor!

Skell-Ra features deluxe packaging that is stunning as you can see he is packed in his Skeletor form with the ability to change him into Mumm-Ra! The back of the box illustration shows how Skeletor transforms into Skell-Ra in an iconic scene!


- Skell-Ra, Ever-Living Evil of Eternia, has been created by a crossover of villains from two iconic 80’s brands –Master of the Universe’s Skeletor with ThunderCats’ Mumm-Ra.
