Adding to the line during JoeFest 2024, Delta-17: War in the Shadows, revealed a sneak peek into their Wave 1.5 lineup and their Okami Elite Sentry exclusive!
Okami Elite Sentry Exclusive
The Dark Shadows got a boost in the army, commanded by Shadow Dragon, with the reveal of the crimson Okami Elite Sentry. Striking the perfect blend of red, tying into the colors of Shadow Dragon perfectly, the JoeFest exclusive is the perfect army builder! The ”Okami” (Japanese for “wolf” or “wolves”) are a seemingly limitless army of robot-ninja warriors built in Shadow Dragon’s secret hidden factory/base. The Okami robots are unlike anything seen so far. They are extremely fast, light, agile and have no fear of personal injury. They can leap up to ten feet in the air, throw knives from their chest bandolier with precision, and engage multiple enemies with ease. The antenna on their heads is where they receive commands from Shadow Dragon or another unit leader. The Okami are equipped with both night vision and thermal optics.

Wave 1.5
Leaning into the army building that many collector’s practice, Detla-17 also revealed a amazing upgrade to Shadow Dragon’s seeming limitless Red Shadows army. In an Instagram post, Delta-17 provided some details on Hailstorm by saying, “As revealed at this weekend’s 2024 @joefest_toy_comic show, the HAILSTORM unit has been unveiled as Delta-17’s wave 1.5 figure! This army builder comes in two colors – the standard grey edition that serves as a military unit for the Dark Shadows, or a “Serpent Blue” edition for those looking to add to their vintage o-ring enemy ranks.” What a great idea to create a color scheme that blends perfectly with Cobra from the vintage GI Joe line as this version of Hailstorm is devoid of Delta-17 branding. TheDark Shadows version could also be commissioned for Destro’s Iron Grenadier faction as they share the same primary color scheme
