Point Dread and Talon Fighter Official Images
The reveal for the box and package art for the Point Dread Talon Fighter was posted on IG today and we get a third tease for a mystery Evil Warrior and possible single carded releases of the Lords of Power figures!
Ahead of the digital art reveal for the Point Dread and Talon Fighter, Roy Juarez posted a sneak peek video of the Point packaging! Early in the morning we got treated to a 360 degree view of the recently revealed MOTU Origins vehicle and playset! We also get some more teases and there is a mysterious Evil Warrior flying in on a winged creature plus the Lords of Power versions of the classic figure illustrations.
Package Design
The Point Dread and Talon Fighter come packed in plastic free display box where we get treated to more amazing art by the MOTU team! According to Roy,
It’s packaging time! Here’s an in-depth look at the packaging and artwork we did for Point Dread and Talon Fighter, the mystical outpost & flying vehicle.

The sides of the box feature illustrations that can be found in the main card art.

Art and Illustrations
The team did an an amazing job as we get a close up of the Talon Fighter with He-Man and Teela in flight on the front of the box flap.

On the back of the box we see He-Man and Stratos trying to evade Roton fire from mini comic Trap Jaw and Faker above an epic battle scene that features many classic characters.

Card Art Tease
There is a mysterious card art tease with an Evil Warrior riding a winged creature teased on the box art!

Luckily, Charile_5.5 from Instagram, asked the question of who this mysterious warrior could be and the infamous Axel Gimenez responded:”that’s the same evil warrior from the vintage Battle Ram art by Rudy Obrero. He also appeared on the Sky Sled and Castle Grayskull box art.” Here is where this Evil Warrior has appeared on other box art so this would be amazing to see as a figure come to fruition for the MOTU Origins line:
Vintage Battle Ram Box Art
Thanks to Grrrraffe, one of our Toy Habits CREW members and long time supporter, he pointed out that this Evil Warrior can be found below Skeletor.

Here is a close up view and thanks again Grrrraffe for providing this image!

MOTU Origins Vehicle, Playset Teases and Mini Comic
According to Axel, this Evil Warrior also appeared on the Sky Sled and Castle Grayskull box art!
Castle Grayskull Box Art Tease
In the side box art you can see this Evil Warrior swooping in on his winged creature.

Sky Sled Box Art Tease
You can also see this same Evil Warrior on the box art from the Prince Adam and Sky Sled art! You can see this Evil Warrior and the creature in the box art in the lower left corner.

Also, thanks to Micheal Wayt from Instagram, this Evil Warrior is also seen in the Frog Monger mini comic.

Lords of Power Standard Releases?
Could we be seeing the Lords of Power MOTU Origins released as standard carded figures? The card below seems to tease them or this just could be a way to pay homage to the past LoP figures that were released as Power Con 2020 exclusive figures that have not been released yet?

Below is the Lords of Power MOTU Origins Power Con 2021 exclusive set. The Lords of Power single carded figures that have not been released have been He-Man, Man-At-Arms, and Skeletor as we’ve seen the single carded versions of Beast Man and Mer-Man alraedy!

Point Dread and the Talon Fighter Reveal
This Talon Fighter and Point Dredd were the star of the show in today’s reveals in my opinion! The vibrant colors, amazing details in the cockpit and rear of the jet, and the total nostalgia of this flying falcon are just amazing! The way they recreated the ” paper” computer inside Point Dread was very cool You can still attach this to your Castle Grayskull. The silver laser canon is also interchangeable with the blue one and attaches to the top of Point Dread as well! Let’s take a closer look at the official images below.

The Toy was packaged as Frontier Outpost Point Dread and Flying Talon Fighter! Point Dread was a one-room base with the same gray-green, rocky exterior as Castle Grayskull and a “perch” on top for the Talon Fighter. Point Dread’s upper half could be removed and placed atop one of the towers of the Grayskull playset, allowing the Talon Fighter to rest atop Grayskull as shown in the minicomics. The Talon Fighter toy itself had a yellow-orange hull, a blue canopy and red-orange wings and “claw” landing gear. There was also a version of the toy on which a book-and record set was included, with one story on each side of a 7-inch vinyl record and a read-along storybook in comic format.
