Slaker Turtles of Grayskull Deluxe Figure Discovered on Target + Street Date

Affiliate links in post. See Disclosure Policy.

Sla’ker has been discovered on the Target website, which is the second Target exclusive deluxe fgure for the Turtles of Grayskull line!

The mashup of Faker from the Masters of the Universe line and Slash from the Teenage Mutant Turtles line has been discovered on the Target website! Sla’ker has more parts for the Metal-Boto build-a-figure so it’s awesome to see him go up on the website, which could signal a wider release soon! It’s odd because the Target exclusive Mouse-Jaw deluxe figure is nowhere to be found on the website. The street date for the figure is April 28, 2024! We also have a clearer shot of the box front as Target posted an official image of the front of the box! Thanks to preterniadotcom for breaking the news!

Here is the official description of the figure:

  • This MOTU Origins Turtles of Grayskull Deluxe Sla’Ker toy represents a thrilling crossover of Slash from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and He-Man replica robot Faker from Masters of the Universe lore!
  • An evil experiment of Skeletor and Krang gone awry, Sla’Ker has the superhuman strength and robotic endoskeleton of Faker and the psychotic outlook, spiked shell and mutated snapping turtle energy of Slash.
  • Standing 5.5 inches tall, with 16 movable joints, this Sla’Ker figure comes with battle-damaged chest shell, removable shoulder armor, back shell that doubles as a shield, spiked nunchuks and 2 bladed accessories.
  • This figure comes with a Build-A-Figure part for Metal-Boto — Roboto programmed with Metalhead’s memories. The other 3 sections will be offered with 3 other deluxe crossover figures, each sold separately.
  • A bio card is included to provide character details. Nostalgic graphics on the package honor the heritage of TMNT while illustrations reflect the multi-dimensional drama.

Sla’ker Box Art Reveal and Teasers

Roy Juarez did it again and dropped the official Sla’ker deluxe Turtles of Grayskull box and art reveal! Being a Target exclusive, Sla’ker will alos include additional pieces of the Metal-Boto Build-A-Figure! Shown on the front and back of the box, we can see the new Metal-Boto parts that come packed with Sla’ker. Another exciting thing that the Slak’er package brings us is yet a third tease for the Slime Pit, which would be an apropos small playset that leans into the TMNT ooze that the turtles had in the 1980’s. It’s super exciting to think that the TMNT inspired Slime Pit might be coming to the Turtles of Grayskull line!

Following the video reveal of Mouse-Jaw’s box art, the MOTU Team released the hi-rez images of the box art, which are stunning!

Here are all of the amazing people who made this box a reality:

According to Roy Juarez on Instagram:

COWABUNGA DUDES! Here’s a closer look at the deadly artwork and packaging for the upcoming Sla’Ker, the evil cybernetic snapping turtle from the #TMNT x #MOTU Turtles of Grayskull collaboration.

This is the third deluxe style box we’ve seen for the Turtles of Grayskull line and the entire package looks amazing! It features bright and vibrant colors with an amazing scene of Sla’ker front in center of the Slime Pit with Shredder and Skeletor watching on! and Teela battling Mouse-Jaw in front of Castle Grayskull. I love the Shredder inspired dome of the Slime Pit, and the green ooze coming down the tower!

Here is the digital box art and it’s cool to see the art without any writing.

It looks like they are packing in an extra bio card like they did with the Mouse Jaw and the Ruler’s of the Sun 3-pack figures!

We can also see the second set of Build-A-Figure parts that make up Metal-BOTO. It comes with Metal-Boto’s legs and head. These Build-A-Figure parts will be packed with the deluxe Target exclusive figures as the back of the box says 2 of 4. So we have 2 more Target exclusive deluxe figures to come!

The two panels make up the larger scene above but we can view more details, especially of the Slime Pit tease!

January 18, 2023: Sla’ker Box Reveal Video Reveal

Here is a still image from the Sla’ker box reveal and it looks in a similar style as the box that the MOTU Origins Moss Man and Mouse Jaw came in. It’s incredible to see this new box format being used now for the TMNT Crossover Deluxe figures as it’s a wonderful way to display all of the amazing pack out of accessories that the figures come with. You can see the slasher wrist claws, Metal-Boto head, nicely laid out in the package. This package also lends itself to incredible artwork on all sides!

Sla’ker is slotted for the Wave 2 deluxe figure assortment as a Target exclusive that comes with more build-a-figure parts to complete Metal-Boto! Roy said in his Instagram post:

“When Krang’s scheme to mutate He-Man required a test subject, Skeletor knew just who to use: He-Man’s robotic doppelganger, Faker. Covered in the same mutagen that created the evil Turtle Slash, the diabolical duplicate rose from the Ooze as the deadly robot Turtle, Sla’Ker!”

Box Front and Back

Sla’ker looks amazing in box and he is a cross between Slash from TMNT and Faker from MOTU! We finally get to see what the head sculpt of Moto-Boto looks like as he’s packed in view over Sla’ker’s right shoulder. We can also see that the Slime Pit is teased for the third time, which would be an apropos small playset that leans into the TMNT ooze that the turtles had in the 1980’s.

We also see some cool action shots of Sla’ker on the side panels showing some cool poses you can think of when you finally get him in hand!

Sla’ker looks like a hilarious take on Faker and the TMNT Slash figure! You can see he pizza’s through the busted chest armor and he comes in the classic Faker blue with orange, pink, and purple accents.

Slime Pit Tease #2

Vintage MOTU Slime Pit

The Slime pit itself has already been teased to us on the spectacular artwork that housed the amazing 2021 Power-Con Horde 4 pack, as we covered in our article What MOTU Vehicles and Playsets are Next in the Origins Line? If Slime Pit He-man is being Teased in this mini comic, and we have already seen the Slime Pit in a major piece of packaging artwork, you start to put the pieces together and it looks like a forgone conclusion right?!

According to the Wiki Grayskull

The Slime Pit is the name of two different Masters of the Universe locations. The original Slime Pit was released with the original Mattel storyline, with the other coinciding with the MYP/Four Horsemen MOTU series in 2003. Both locations were made as playsets for the toylines and both playsets came with sticky green slime for play value. The original Slime Pit belongs to the Evil Horde, it is a dinosaur skull-shaped device and a claw, which Hordak uses to trap Eternian Warriors inside it. The dinosaur head then tips forward to coat its unfortunate victim with slime. In the In the MOTU universe, the effect of the slime transforms everyone covered by it into a lumbering, mindless slime-monster, stripped of their own free will, and instead carrying out Hordak’s evil bidding.

Slime Pit | Wiki Grayskull | Fandom

The Slime Pit playset was released in 1986 and jumped on that 1980’s slime craze band wagon, like so many other toys back then! It was the Lair of the Evil Horde to torture their unsuspecting victims. It was a fairly simple playset; a dinosaur claw would come out of a pit and hold your figure in place to lay wait for the oncoming slime that fed from a dinosaur skull above.

Mattel had also sold separate containers of Horde branded slime, so that you could constantly keep your slime pit well stocked.
