Skeletor and Bone Throne MOTU Masterverse Packaging Official Images & Figure Reveal

Roy Juarez and team have revealed the official box art for the forthcoming New Eternia Masterverse Skeletor and Bone Throne! Roy said on his Instagram page, “An in-depth look at the artwork and packaging of the upcoming New Eternia Skeletor from the Bone Throne set.”

The box shows the actual colors of the New Eternia Skeletor figure and he looks amazing packed next to his Havoc Staff.

There is so much awesome detail in the hero image for the font of the box as it shows Skeletor summoning Havoc while clutching his Havoc Staff.

We get to see a hoodless Skeletor holding the Staff of Ka and he looks freaky!

On the back of the box we see a very large image of Skeletor sitting on his bone throne.

April 28, 2024: Skeletor and Bone Throne Official Box Art

Roy Juarez and team have released the digital art for the Skeletor and Bone Thone Masterverse figure and furniture set. We can now see the entire art panel in all of it’s glory! The panels show Evil-Lyn, Screeech, Panthor, Beast Man, and Mer-Man flanking Skeletor who is commanding his evil henchman!

The box that Skeletor and the Bone Throne is wrapped in is amazing! For in-box collectors, this will definitely add some pop to your shelf!

Taking a closer look, the digital art really brings out the details in the Havoc Staff and Staff of Ka!

The two images below are apropos for Skeletor to have his right hand lady Evil-Lyn, his kitty, and his henchman by his side.

April 29, 2024: Packaging and Figure Reveal

Yesterday, Roy Juarez officially revealed the Masterverse box for the Skeletor and Bone Throne set, which brings the first piece of MOTU furniture to the line. Kidding aside, the Bone Throne is an iconic part of MOTU history and and today, we get to see what’s inside the box! The box is large, giving the team ample space to get creative so let’s take look at the art and the first look at the set out of the box! Roy announced on his Instagram page: “What’s in the box? A special preview of the Skeletor packaging and the Bone Throne packaging,” and also included a 360 view of Skeletor’s box along with the packaging for the set.

We also got a 360 of the actual product, so we can see Skelly on his Bone Throne in a 360 degrees view! Here you can tell the massive scale of this diorama set and how detailed his throne is! As Roy stated, it includes a double sided printed diorama card that inserts into the top of the throne box to become an extended platform for the throne.

New Eternia Skeletor v2

Skeletor got a makeover as Mattel is including a version 2 New Eternia Skeletor (a repaint of the first Barbarian New Eternia Skeletor)! He comes in a gorgeous Masterverse box that features some amazing artwork!

The front of the box features a cool illustration of Skeletor in his repainted colors. The back of the box features Skeletor as he sits on the Bone Throne has he harnesses the power of Havoc.

Here is a closer look at the art as you can see the green flames and the Staff of Ka in the background.

The side panels of the box feature dragon creatures and hoodless version of Skeletor holding the Staff of Ka!

Inside of the box features some amazing artwork and we even go to see an actual image of Skeletor and the Bone Throne and, like previous deluxe boxes, you can use the box as a diorama!

In a pleasant surprise during the MOTU March Madness 2024 Masterverse reveals, a Masterverse Skeletor and Bone Throne was showcased! The figure and thrown combo is the first in the Masterverse line and we are hoping to see more than just figures released in the future. Roy Juarez revealed the box with one his his famous 360 lazy susan Instagram posts! He said, “A special preview of the protective packaging for the upcoming Masterverse New Eternia Skeletor and Bone Throne. Stay tuned tomorrow to see what else comes inside the box.”

I am gobsmacked at the box art for this set! The illustration pictures Skeletor sitting on his bone throne holding his Havoc in his right hand while clutching the arm of the throne with his left in a stunning scene! The back of the box reads’ “From deep within Snake Mountain, Skeletor rules from the Bone Throne. An ancient artifcat crafted by the original inhabitants of Snake Mountain from the poisoned bones of wyverns, the Bone Throne now serves as a conduit for Skeletor’s Havoc Magic to seek out and capture the Power of Grayskull.”

One the sides of the box we can see Panthor, Evil-Lyn, and Screech and Beast Man and Mer-Man!

This bone throne and Skeletor set was truly a pleasant surprise. Paying homage to Alfredo Alcala, illustrator of the first four Masters of the Universe minicomics, this version of Skeletor features a portrait based on his appearance in the minicomics. This one is said to be a Fan Channel Exclusive, like BBTS & EE!

Aside from the Acala head sculpt, this version of Skeletor is a repaint of the New Eternia Skeletor with gold and purple paint apps on the armor. The Bone throne is highly detailed and it looks like the flames light up in various colors!

It’s incredible how the fire effects glow on his throne!
