Return to the 90’s with the 30th Anniversary to Street Sharks by Mattel! Yes Mattel is bringing back their 1990’s property Street Sharks, with a MOTU Origins style buck! We got our hands on Ripster and Jab from wave 1 and we have in hand images for you! If you want to find some vintage Street Sharks, click HERE! These two chonky guys look so cool together! They have very cool detail and their heads and torsos are made of a rubbery material that allow their action features to work. Also they have real feel shark skin texture to boot! Their articulation is very similar to MOTU Origins figures in their arms and legs. Their arms have shoulder, elbow and wrist articulation. While their legs have hip, knee and ankle articulation. These new Street Sharks are amazing figures and are sure to be a hit with collectors!

Ripster In Hand Images
Ripster comes packaged in a cool box that is an homage to the vintage version. It that displays the included shark cage and allows you to test out his jawsome action feature from behind! You get a cool illustration of the Street Sharks on the rear, along with instructions for his jaw chomping and power punch action features.
Views from both sides allow you to see the bars of the shark cage with Ripster within.
Ripster has a cool shark skin blue color an his head and torso are made of a rubbery feeling material that allows his jaw opening action feature to work. He also has a spring waist twist, so if you push on his arms to the side, it will activate his waist twist causing a power punch. He is wearing black pants with a brown belt and brown cowboy boots.
Here we can see what Ripster looks like from the left and right. The facial details look great, and look at those huge teeth!
The soft rubbery material of Ripster’s body allows his jaw to open and close when you press down on his fin on the back of his head. Its so cool to see the inside of his shark mouth, as they did a great job with the color and details with those huge sharp white teeth and pink interior of his mouth. His whole head is a soft rubber material including his teeth so they don’t hurt ya!
Here you can see his rear fin which when you press down on it, activates his jaw chomping action feature. Here we can also see Ripster in his shark cage.
Jab In Hand Images
Jab is a Hammerhead shark that also comes packaged in the same cool box as Ripster that displays the included shark cage and allows you to test out his jawsome action feature from behind! You get a cool illustration of the Street Sharks on the rear, along with instructions for his jaw chomping and hammerhead head butt action features.
Views from both sides allow you to see the bars of the shark cage with Jab within.
Jab also has a cool shark skin tanish gold skin color and his head and torso are made of a rubbery feeling material that allows his jaw opening action feature to work. He is wearing blue camo pants and black army boots.
Here we can see what Ripster looks like from the left and right.
The soft rubbery material of Jab’s body allows his jaw to open and close when you press down on his fin on the back of his head. He also has a hammerhead head butting action feature that is activated by pushing his right arm down. He looks so cool opening his mouth up and down. His whole head is a soft rubber material including his teeth so they don’t hurt ya!
Here we can also see Jab in his shark cage. Also a detailed look at the bottom of his army boots, that have some nice tread details.

Vintage Street Sharks
Street Sharks were originally released in 1994 by Mattel and featured characters like Super Slammu, Moby Lick, Streex, Slash, Dr. Paranoid, Blades and Ripster. The line lasted about 3 years until it came to an end but it was a classic toy line of the 1990’s! If you want to find some vintage Street Sharks, click HERE!

Street Sharks is an American superhero animated series about the adventures of crime-fighting half-man/half-sharks.[1] It was produced by DIC Productions, L.P. and Bohbot Entertainment, and aired from 1994 to 1997, originally as a part of Bohbot’s Amazin’ Adventures programming block.[2] before moving to ABC for its final season.[3] The show promoted a line of action figures by Mattel.[4] The creators were David Siegel and Joe Galliani of Mr. Joe’s Really Big Productions.
In 1996, the Street Sharks were paired with the Dino Vengers and the show was retitled Dino Vengers Featuring Street Sharks.
