MOTU Origins ThunderCats Wave 1 Carded Figure and Art Reveal

Roy Juarez revealed the MOTU Origins ThunderCats Wave 1 carded figures today in a stunning 360 video that also showed off some of the amazing art panels that were used to create these masterpieces. An incredible hybrid of both Masters of the Universe and ThunderCats properties, the first wave of MOTU Origins ThunderCats Crossover figures Lion-O, Cheetara, and Battle-Cat Man (absent in the video was Skell-Ra but we are sure he’s cool enough to get his own spotlight! We were treated to the carded figure of Lion-O during the MOTU Origins ThunderCats fall catalog reveal and preorder and it’s cool to see how Cheetara and Battle Cat Man look on card! fetch.franciscoetchart is the amazing artist behind the stellar card art as he blends the classic vibes of the vintage ThunderCats figures with his own MOTU signature style!
Lion-O
We can see Lion-O’s face up close in stunning detail as he grasps the Sword of Omens.

The packaging is outstanding and Roy Juarez and team did an amazing job! The illustrations look spectacular and combine the vintage MOTU and ThunderCats feels on the front and back of the card!

- This Lion-O action figure is a thrilling crossover of the worlds of Masters of the Universe and ThunderCats, two iconic action figure brands from the 1980s whose legacies continue
- His sword and some of his armor pieces have metallic details. An included mini-comic illustrates the crossover storyline


- Lion-O, the Lord of the ThunderCats, battles back the Ancient Forces of Evil from Third Earth to Third Eternia.

Cheetara
We can see the cool art panel from the video with an up close shot of Cheetara’s face and we can see part of Trap Jaw’s arm.

We can see Cheetara’s full art panel with a very cool tease of Trap Jaw! She is dubbed the “Fastest Feline in the Universe” and the back of her card reads “Beware, forces of evil! Nothing in the universe can match the speed of the ThunderCats ferocious warrior, Cheetara.

Battle Cat Man
Battle Cat Man’s art panel shows up a close up his face with a nice shot of Beast Man in the background.

We can see his full art panel and he is dubbed “Most Powerful Cat in the Universe” with a very cool tease of Beast Man on the back of the card, which reads, ” After the destruction of Thundera, Battle Cat-Man crashed on Third Eternia and now proudly protects his adopted home world.”
