MOTU Origins ThunderCats Crossover Preorder

An incredible hybrid of both Masters of the Universe and ThunderCats properties, the first wave of MOTU Origins ThunderCats Crossover figures have been revealed and they include, Skell-Ra, Lion-O, Cheetara, and Battle-Cat Man. Published on the Toy Book and Comicbook.com, we got our first look at these figures yesterday and they look fantastic. Fresh off the reveal of the new MOTU Origins ThunderCats Crossover official images. The UK site, The Whole Shebang, has put out Lion-O, Cheetara, Skell-Ra and Battle Cat-Man up for preorder. Today, Amazon, EE & BBTS put these up for preorder. As of May 22, 2025, Wave 2 figures are also starting to hit International online retailers so check out the many places to buy these figures below!

The packaging is outstanding and Roy Juarez and team did an amazing job! The illustrations look spectacular and combine the vintage MOTU and ThunderCats feels on the front and back of the card!

Cheetara

We can see the cool art panel from the video with an up close shot of Cheetara’s face and we can see part of Trap Jaw’s arm.

We can see Cheetara’s full art panel with a very cool tease of Trap Jaw! She is dubbed the “Fastest Feline in the Universe” and the back of her card reads “Beware, forces of evil! Nothing in the universe can match the speed of the ThunderCats ferocious warrior, Cheetara.

Battle Cat Man

Battle Cat Man’s art panel shows up a close up his face with a nice shot of Beast Man in the background.

We can see his full art panel and he is dubbed “Most Powerful Cat in the Universe” with a very cool tease of Beast Man on the back of the card, which reads, ” After the destruction of Thundera, Battle Cat-Man crashed on Third Eternia and now proudly protects his adopted home world.”

Skell-Ra

As this is Mattel revealing these images, of course they would focus a shot of just Skeletor!

Skell-Ra features deluxe packaging that is stunning as you can see he is packed in his Skeletor form with the ability to change him into Mumm-Ra! The back of the box illustration shows how Skeletor transforms into Skell-Ra in an iconic scene!

He comes with 2 swappable heads, a reversible purple / red cape, and swappable harness and skirt armor pieces, so he can evolve from Skell-Ra into Mumm-Ra. The Sword of Plun-darr completes the double-edged picture.

You can switch between Skeletor and Mumm-Ra with the figure’s Sword of Plundarr weapon, a reversible cape, swappable heads, and swappable harness and skirt armor pieces. 

A hi res close up of Skell-Ra’s face shows you what an incredible job Mattel did with these sculpts! Skeletor looks super cool with his red eyes and skeleton jaw! Also the face sculpt for Mumm-Ra is so classic looking!

He-Man

He-Man comes with his Power Sword of Omens, cool chest armor that is a nod to Eternia, a mask, and a shield!

He-Man’s mask and long hair give him a totally different look and it’s very cool that his chest armor pays homage to the Eternia Central Tower. The Power Sword of Omens also looks really cool in his hands!

As He-Man strips down to his bare essence as the Most Powerful Man in the Universe, he raises the Power Sword of Omens and it can also stow in his back armor!

Panthro

Panthro comes with an amazing packout with tons of weapons and accessories to achieve his classic and his MOTU look!

Panthro looks awesome all geared up with his armor and weapons! We looks like he can kick some series…you know what!

You can strip Panthro down to his classic ThunderCats appearance and he looks awesome wielding his nunchakus!

Tygra
