The journey from rumor to reality has been a fun one to follow with Super7’s Visionaries line, starting all the way back when we first learned that Visionaries were coming to Super7, then getting our first glimpse of the figures when leaked images surfaced online, and now we’ve finally arrived at the moment collectors have been waiting for: Leoric and Darkstorm, the Wave 1 ReAction+ figures, are going up for preorder. Based on a tease from Super7 and a hint in Entertainment Earth’s Drop Zone, we expect the figures to officially go up for preorder today. For a property as beloved and underserved as Visionaries, this feels like a long time coming, and seeing Super7 give these characters the treatment they deserve in the ReAction+ format is genuinely exciting. We covered the preorder details and what to expect in our full preorder breakdown, so if you haven’t checked that out yet, now is the time. Visionaries is one of those 80s properties that never quite got the toy revival it deserved, and the fact that we’re finally seeing new product hit the market for this franchise is a big deal for collectors who grew up watching the Spectral Knights and Darkling Lords battle it out. Leoric and Darkstorm are the perfect opening salvo for this line, representing both sides of the conflict right out of the gate, and I’m really curious to see how Super7 builds on this foundation with future waves. If you’ve been on the fence, I’d recommend locking in your preorders sooner rather than later, because niche properties like this tend to move quickly once word gets out. Can’t wait to see where this line goes from here.

Darkstorm

The card art features a moody purple and blue illustration of Darkstorm in full armor, staff raised overhead, with a glowing green holographic chest emblem and a massive spectral beast looming behind him. Inside the blister, Darkstorm is packed with a removable helmet, a twin-blade hand axe, and a Power Staff topped with an ornate frame housing a dragon emblem that matches the one sculpted into his chest plate.

The Power Backpack sits above Darkstorm’s head in the blister, its gold-finished scrollwork frame holding a green dragon emblem that mirrors the one on his chest armor. A nice touch for Visionaries fans, the card’s yellow border and dark fantasy artwork really nail the feel of the original toyline’s packaging.

Darkstorm wears teal and blue segmented armor with sculpted plating across the shoulders, forearms, thighs, and shins, all paired with a gold-framed hexagonal chest emblem featuring a green dragon. His accessories include a backpack, a cylindrical canister piece, a hand axe with a curved blade, and that tall Power Staff with the rectangular dragon banner at the top.

The back of the card carries a gold-bordered bio section with an illustrated portrait of Darkstorm and text describing his Swamp Mollusk mystical personality and Decay power totem. Below, a “Summon Them All” cross-sell section shows glowing blue-green portraits of both Leoric and Darkstorm, with illustrations credited to Matt Ryan Tobin.

The cross-sell portraits at the bottom of the card are worth a closer look. Leoric’s artwork shows him in heavy armor with a lion totem looming over his shoulder, while Darkstorm’s matching portrait pairs his helmeted form with a multi-eyed creature, both rendered in that eerie blue glow against deep purple.

Leoric

The card art dominates with a moody, blue-toned illustration of Leoric in full armor, a glowing lion totem on his chestplate and a spectral lion roaring behind him. Leoric sits in the blister with his helmet, magic whip, power backpack, and power staff packed alongside him, each accessory sculpted with clean detail for the retro scale.

The chestplate on Leoric features a holographic lion totem inset, and his headsculpt captures the character’s brown mustache and stern expression well for a figure at this scale. That power staff has a forked, claw-like tip with a nice amount of sculpted geometry to it.

Laid out flat, the full accessory spread includes the helmet with its pointed crest, the power backpack with its circular port detail, the segmented magic whip, and the power staff with its matching holographic totem inset. Leoric’s armor has a uniform teal tone broken up by sculpted panel lines, buckle straps at the wrists and thighs, and riveted shoulder guards.

The back of the card leans into the vintage Visionaries aesthetic, with a character bio panel featuring an illustrated portrait of Leoric alongside descriptions of his mystical personality and magical totem. Below, a “Summon Them All!” cross-sell section shows glowing portraits of both Leoric and Darkstorm, framed with that same cool blue neon glow that ties the whole package design together.

February 14, 2026: Preorder Leak

Well that didn’t take long. After Super7 teased that Visionaries were joining the lineup, preorders have now officially dropped with the first two figures: Leoric and Darkstorm. And honestly, if you were going to come out of the gate with just two characters, these are exactly the two you’d expect. Leoric, the noble leader of the Spectral Knights, and Darkstorm, the commanding force behind the Darkling Lords, represent the core rivalry that defined the original 1987 Kenner line. It feels deliberate and faithful to the source material to anchor this relaunch around the central hero and villain rather than secondary characters. We still don’t have official product images at the time of writing, but according to the Entertainment Earth listings, both figures are indeed coming in ReAction+ scale, which lines up perfectly with what we predicted based on the tooling and format Super7 has been leaning into lately. That smaller scale makes a lot of sense for Visionaries, especially if the goal is to echo the proportions and simplicity of the vintage figures while giving collectors modern articulation upgrades. Seeing preorders go live without images definitely builds anticipation, and now the real excitement kicks in as we wait to see how closely Super7 adapts those armored looks, chest holograms, and iconic helmets into the ReAction+ style.

Leoric

Leoric (Totem: Lion) – Accessories: Power Staff of Wisdom, whip, helmet. Leoric is the leader of the Spectral Knights and serves as the central heroic figure in the Visionaries universe. Empowered by the Lion totem, he wields the Power Staff of Wisdom, giving him insight and leadership in battle. The vintage figure featured silver vac-metal armor, a regal helmet, and a lion chest hologram that clearly established his role as the noble commander of the team.

Darkstorm

Darkstorm (Totem: Mollusk) – Accessories: Power Staff of Decay, axe, helmet. Darkstorm is a central enforcer among the Darkling Lords and draws his power from the Mollusk totem. He wields the Power Staff of Decay, making him a symbol of corruption and destruction. His figure featured thick, imposing armor and a menacing helmet design, giving him a commanding villainous presence. Armed with an axe in addition to his staff, Darkstorm represented raw aggression and battlefield dominance within the Darkling Lords.
