With all this MOTU news, we now bring you the new MOTU Core Masters of the Universe Kids line Movie figures hi res Wave 1 packaging reveal, featuring stunning artwork by @manuel_eduardo_caritas and team! Wave 1 consists of He-Man, Teela and Beast Man. Previously referred to as “The First Ones”, Mattel confirmed during their Presser Breakfast this morning at NY Toy Fair 2026, that this kids line will now be referred to as the “Core” line and collector’s line will remain “Chronicles”. The gorgeous artwork features an illustration of He-Man versus Skeletor in a half and half design, one side for good and one side for evil, each with one half of the Power Sword. This new 5.5 inch scale line is being positioned as a more kid friendly alternative to Mattel’s collector oriented offerings, and I have to say, seeing it all laid out like this really helps connect the dots. The initial Masters of the Universe Core Kids Assortment will include He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Beast-Man, and Skel-Knight, which feels like a deliberate throwback to that classic play pattern many of us grew up with. All of this is slated for Spring 2026 with a global retail launch date of April 25 for the Masters of the Universe movie line, and I am telling you right now, seeing figures, vehicles, and role play all revealed together like this makes it feel like a full scale return to toy aisle dominance. So let’s take a look at the stunning MOTU Core Masters of the Universe Kids Movie Figure hi res Wave 1 packaging reveals!

Official Packaging and Figure Images

Big news for MOTU First Ones fans and this one just leveled up in a major way. It really does not feel that long ago when we were all buzzing over those first in hand images of Teela, He-Man, and Beast Man finally making the rounds, giving us our first real sense of scale, sculpt, and presence beyond renders, and now here we are again with a fresh wave of official images hitting social media. IGN exclusively revealed new images of the upcoming Masters of the Universe figures and role playing toys ahead of their debut at New York Toy Fair 2026 this weekend, and now we are not just looking at scattered reveals, we are looking at a full on retail strategy coming into focus. He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Beast-Man, and Skel-Knight will each have with 14 points of articulation and a very approachable $10.79 price point. On top of that, He-Man and Skeletor are also anchoring the Masters of the Universe Kids Feature Assortment with Power Sword Slash He-Man and Havoc Staff Attack Skeletor coming in at $16.19, adding action features into the mix. Then you step into the Masters of the Universe Core Assortment where the world building really kicks in with the Battle Cat Feature Action Figure at $21.59, the Roton Assault Vehicle at $37.79, the Skeletor Talking Mask Role Play toy at $21.59, and the Power Sword replica at $43.19.

He-Man

The Core Kids packaging features the same card back art for all the figures featuring the gorgeous artwork featuring one side for good and one side for evil with He-Man and Skeletor, each with their own halves of the Power Sword! You can see the Core He-Man figure in the plastic packaging and an illustration of the Movie He-Man adorning the front of the blister bubble. He’s shown carded with a blonde, shoulder length hair sculpt, a neutral face with a focused expression, and a chest harness featuring a silver emblem with a red cross at the center. I like how the figure is packed with the silver Power Sword positioned along the side, while the brown loincloth, belt details, and wrist bracers keep the look grounded and straightforward.

Here we can see the rear of the packaging with the cross sell for Wave 1 with He-Man, Teela and Beast Man. You can see there is some bio info for He-Man with some stats on the character. You will notice that Teela and He-Man feature a more orangish color on the card back and Castle Grayskull in the back ground. The back of the card lays out the cross sell clearly, showing He Man centered with Beast Man and Teela positioned ahead of him, all staged on a rocky landscape that frames them as part of the same wave. I like how the power abilities chart is presented on the left, breaking down strength, speed, skill, and other attributes with simple bar graphics tied specifically to He Man. The layout keeps everything easy to read while reinforcing that these figures are meant to be collected together, with the character lineup and stats doing most of the storytelling work on the rear panel.

With the Power Sword in hand, the figure highlights the accessory work, showing a solid silver finish with defined edges and a sculpted hilt that mirrors vintage proportions. The hands grip the sword securely, and the forearm bracers show subtle sculpted detail that lines up well when the arms are bent. The paint across the armor stays clean even when viewed up close, and the overall color balance between skin tone, silver armor, and brown gear keeps the figure looking cohesive.

This is likley a digital render given the open mouth sculpt but He Man is in his First Ones look with the classic chest armor front and center, featuring the red cross emblem sharply painted against the silver plate. The brown harness straps wrap cleanly over the shoulders and connect down to the belt, which carries a round silver buckle that sits flush at the waist. The skirt armor hangs in layered panels with sculpted texture, giving it a worn leather feel, and the brown boots and wrist bracers carry matching sculpted lines that keep the design visually consistent from top to bottom.

The packaging art leans into that same face off energy we have seen with the MOTU Chronicles heroes and villains, with opposing character imagery flanking the figure and reinforcing that good versus evil setup right on the card.

Out of the package, the figure comes across with a clean blond hair sculpt that sits just above the shoulders, paired with a neutral face sculpt that keeps the expression focused and calm. The chest armor features a metallic silver finish with a bold red cross emblem at the center, layered over brown shoulder straps, while the matching belt and skirt armor carry sculpted textures that break up the surface nicely as the figure stands planted. Brown wrist bracers and boots round out the look, and in hand it feels like everything locks together cleanly as you start moving him around on the shelf.

With the sword in hand, the figure shows off the silver Power Sword design with an open guard and tapered blade that fits cleanly into the grip, sitting naturally against the bracers and forearm. The chest armor and belt catch the light again here, with the red emblem centered up front and layered brown straps wrapping tightly around the torso, while the skirt pieces hang evenly without interfering as I tilt him into a wider stance.

Teela

Teela is shown carded with a long red hair sculpt, a calm face with a slight smile, and a gold armored top paired with silver pants that feature sculpted panel lines and strap details at the thighs. I like how the brown forearm bracers break up the metallic colors, and the sword accessory is packed cleanly along the side so you can see the full blade design through the bubble. The card art echoes her look with a ready stance, and seeing the figure straight on makes it easy to take in the paint separation and sculpted textures across the outfit.

Here we can see the rear of the packaging with the cross sell for Wave 1 with He-Man, Teela and Beast Man. You can see there is some bio info for Teela with some stats on the character. It is the same as He-Man’s except for the character bio.

Enjoy a 360 degree view of the Teela’s packaging below:

Teela has a gold chest piece that has sharp panel lines and a bright metallic finish running down the center. She wears white pants with brown strap details wrapping around the thighs and hips, paired with red boots that feature layered sculpting and clean paint separation. The brown forearm bracers add texture at the wrists, while the long red hair flows down past the shoulders with subtle waves that frame the face. Off to the side, the accessories include a gold sword with a straight blade and sculpted hilt, along a blaster.

Beast Man

Beast Man’ is shown carded with a snarling face sculpt, red mane framing the head and shoulders, and a tan body finish with textured fur detailing across the arms and legs. I like how the figure is packed with the whip coiled along the side of the bubble, while the dark loincloth, wrist cuffs, and chest emblem break up the warmer tones. The card art leans into a more aggressive look for the character, matching the expression on the sculpt and giving a clear view of the paint and sculpted textures right through the bubble.

Here we can see the rear of the packaging with the cross sell for Wave 1 with He-Man, Teela and Beast Man. You can see there is some bio info for Beast Man with some stats on the character. The rear card keeps the same lineup concept but shifts the presentation with a purple toned landscape, showing He Man and Teela positioned above while Beast Man is featured lower on the rocky terrain with his whip raised. I like how the power abilities chart on the right is specific to Beast Man, using the same bar style but clearly keyed to his strengths and skills rather than He Man’s. The card art also brings in Snake Mountain looming in the background, which helps anchor Beast Man to his familiar environment while keeping the overall layout consistent with the rest of the wave. You will notice this card back has a purple hue with Snake Mountain on the back rather than Castle Grayskull that was shown on He-Man and Teela’s card backs.

Enjoy a 360 degree view of the Beast Man’s packaging below:

The figure depicts Beast Man with a heavily textured fur sculpt covering the arms, legs, and torso, finished in a warm tan color that contrasts with the deep red mane wrapping around the head and shoulders. The head sculpt features an open mouth with visible fangs, a painted blue eye area, and horn details protruding from the sides of the mane. Brown shoulder armor sits over the fur with raised spike details, while black wrist cuffs and a dark skirt piece with layered texture hang from the waist.

In the second view, the Beast Man is shown holding his whip, which has a twisted rope texture and a defined handle. The whip curves outward from the hand, and the arm articulation allows it to be raised without interfering with the shoulder armor. From this angle, the sculpted fur texture on the legs and the brown shin guards with molded spikes are more visible, along with the clawed feet and the way the skirt piece overlaps the hips from the back.

Beast Man Masters of the Universe First Ones 1

The figure comes across with a snarling head sculpt that shows an open mouth, sharp fangs, and deep blue eyes set into a pale face, framed by a thick red mane that spreads across the shoulders and upper chest. Horns push out from the sides of the head, while the torso and limbs are covered in textured fur sculpting that carries through the arms and legs, paired with dark wrist bands and clawed hands and feet. A dark skirt hangs from the waist with a small gold chest ornament sitting at the center, and the whip accessory curves naturally through the hand as I lean him forward into a wide, grounded stance.
