Battle Cat MOTU Core Masters of the Universe Movie Kids Line Hi Res Packaging Reveal

With all this MOTU news, we now bring you the new MOTU Core Masters of the Universe Kids line Movie figures hi res Battle Cat packaging reveal, featuring stunning artwork by @manuel_eduardo_caritas and team! Previously referred to as “The First Ones”, Mattel confirmed during their Presser Breakfast yesterday at NY Toy Fair 2026, that this kids line will now be referred to as the “Core” line and collector’s line will remain “Chronicles.” The gorgeous artwork features an illustration of He-Man riding his faithful steed Battle Cat. Battle Cat comes in an opening style packaging to allow kids to use the “try me” feature of Battle Cat’s roaring action feature! This new 5.5 inch scale line is clearly aimed at younger fans, serving as a more kid focused companion to Mattel’s collector driven offerings, and seeing the full display in person really brings that strategy into focus. The first Masters of the Universe Core Kids Assortment features He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Beast-Man, and Skel-Knight, tapping into that familiar hero versus villain dynamic that defined the brand for so many of us back in the day. Everything is targeting Spring 2026, with the Masters of the Universe movie line hitting global retail on April 25, and when you see the figures, vehicles, and role play items presented side by side, it genuinely feels like a coordinated push back into the heart of the toy aisle. The packaging has gorgeous artwork but is an open package so that you can use the “try me” action features where Battle Cat roars!

The rear of the packaging highlights the action features for Battle Cat. There is a product shot of He-Man Riding Battle Cat and the Wave 1 cross sell with He-Man, Teela and Beast Man.

The side of the box includes an image of Castle Grayskull with an orange colored background.

The two sides of the packaging are shown below. From here you can press on Battle Cat’s armor to make him roar.

You can see the opening packaging allows you to see Battle Cat in all his glory.

Battle Cat has armor is molded in a deep red tone, with a layered saddle secured across the back and a helmet that frames the face with angular edges, horn details, and open eye cutouts. The mouth is sculpted open to reveal fangs and a painted interior, the paws are wide with defined claws planted forward, and the tail curves outward.
