DuckTales Ultimate Figures by NECA Preorders
“Life is like a hurricane, here in Duckburg!” Boy are we thrilled about this one! NECA is diving headfirst into the money bin with a full wave of DuckTales Ultimate figures based on the classic 1980s Disney Afternoon cartoon, and preorders are live right now over at BigBadToyStore and Entertainment Earth ! I grew up absolutely loving DuckTales and the entire Disney Afternoon block, so seeing NECA give this franchise the Ultimate treatment has me over the moon. We’re getting four releases in this wave, all priced at $39.99 each with an expected ship date of October 2026. So let’s take a look at the DuckTales Ultimate Figures by NECA! First up is the duck himself, Ultimate Scrooge McDuck! This 7-inch scale figure comes with multiple interchangeable heads and hands, his iconic cane, and a whole pile of treasure including the Number One Dime, money, and jewels. I just love that they included the Number One Dime as an accessory, because you really can’t have Scrooge without it. The collector-friendly packaging features VHS homage artwork which is such a fun touch for us Disney Afternoon kids. Next we have Ultimate Launchpad McQuack, everyone’s favorite crash-landing pilot! I always loved Launchpad and his fearless, bumbling charm. This figure comes loaded with a radio, map, and rope, and features interchangeable heads and hands. How cool is that?! Then we’ve got the Ultimate Huey, Dewey, and Louie 3-Pack, and this one is loaded with accessories. We’re talking the Junior Woodchucks guidebook, a net, backpacks, treasure maps, a fishing pole, and a tackle box. Getting all three nephews in one pack at the same $39.99 price point is really cool and a great value. And rounding out the wave is Ultimate Gizmoduck! I can’t be more excited to see Fenton Crackshell’s armored alter ego in this line. He comes with interchangeable heads and hands, an instruction manual, a dust cloud base, and a figure stand. Gizmoduck was always one of my favorite characters from the show, and seeing him get the full Ultimate treatment from NECA is super exciting. All four releases come in that amazing VHS homage packaging, which is such a perfect nod to the era. NECA really understands what makes these properties resonate with collectors, and launching an entire DuckTales wave like this is a statement. If you’re a Disney Afternoon fan, these are an easy preorder. Head over to BigBadToyStore and Entertainment Earth to lock yours in before they’re gone!

Launchpad McQuack
Launchpad McQuack’s orange bill and wide cartoon eyes are sculpted with a lot of personality, and the tuft of red-orange hair poking out from under his aviator cap is a nice character-accurate touch. The white gloved hands have clean sculpted fingers, with one gripping the radio accessory snugly against his head.

Launchpad McQuack is wearing his signature maroon flight jacket over a tan scarf, with brown boots and a belt completing the classic pilot look. He’s holding the included radio accessory up to his head, its gray body and thin extending antenna matching the cartoon design nicely. I’m really digging the way the tan scarf bunches up at the collar where it meets the jacket, with the folded layers catching just enough shadow to give the sculpt some depth.

Launchpad McQuack is posed here in a seated position, with his brown boots and tan-colored legs clearly showing the articulation at the knees and hips. The reddish brown flight jacket has a nice matte finish to it, and the tan scarf draped around his neck has a soft, slightly rumpled sculpt that gives it some natural weight.

Launchpad McQuack is standing with his hands on his hips here, and the brown belt with its small square buckle sits cleanly at the waist where the maroon jacket meets the tan lower half. His aviator cap hugs the top of his head tightly, with the chin strap detail sculpted just beneath his bill.

Launchpad McQuack is holding his red aviator helmet here, cradling it against his chest with both gloved hands. His brown aviator goggles are pushed up onto his forehead, with the strap wrapping around the back of his head, a detail that wasn’t as clear in the previous renders.

This render lays out the full accessory spread for Launchpad McQuack, including an alternate head with a worried expression, multiple pairs of interchangeable white gloved hands, a gray radio, and what appears to be the included map accessory shown as an open booklet with illustrated pages. A pair of alternate bare duck feet are also included alongside the standard brown boots, which is a fun option I wasn’t expecting.

Scrooge McDuck
Uncle Scrooge, the patriarch of the Ducktales family! Scrooge McDuck is wearing his classic blue frock coat with red cuffs and collar, black top hat with a blue band, and red spats over his shoes, all details that should translate well into figure form.

Scrooge McDuck is leaning on his cane with both white-gloved hands clasped over the handle, his expression set in a sharp, irritated scowl with furrowed brows and a downturned bill. The blue frock coat, red vest, and tall black top hat with its blue band are all spot-on to the classic cartoon design, and that grumpy face sculpt is really solid.

Scrooge McDuck is holding his cane out to the side here, and the white gloves have a clean, rounded cartoon-accurate sculpt with simple mitten-like fingers. His red spats and matching coat cuffs pop against the blue frock coat, and the gold button at his collar catches just enough light to read as a distinct detail.

Scrooge McDuck is holding up his Number One Dime here, pinched between two fingers with a proud, open-mouthed grin that’s a completely different energy from the scowling head sculpt shown earlier. His cane rests at his side, and the dime accessory has a small, silvery finish that reads well against the white glove.

Scrooge McDuck is swinging on a rope here while clutching his cane, with a gold lamp accessory hooked onto the cane’s curved handle. The included treasure and jewels accessories are part of the figure’s lineup, and this render gives a nice look at how the lamp’s glossy gold finish and rounded sculpt complement the rest of his classic adventuring gear.

Huey, Dewey, and Louie 3-Pack
What would a line of DuckTales figures be without Huey, Dewey and Louie?! Dewey holds a fishing pole and tackle box while Louie carries a net, and each nephew’s accessories have a nice toy-like charm to them with their matte sculpted finishes. Huey is reading what looks like the Junior Woodchucks guidebook, its red cover and gold detailing making it one of the more recognizable accessories in the set.

Huey, Dewey, and Louie are each wearing their color-coded hoodies and caps, with the red, blue, and green color separation looking clean and saturated against their white feathers and yellow webbed feet. The rolled sleeping bags strapped to the tops of their backpacks are a nice touch, adding a little adventure-ready character to the trio.

Huey is posed here holding open the Junior Woodchucks guidebook, and his concerned facial expression with downturned brows and a slight frown gives him a completely different look from the other renders. It’s cool to see that the nephews include interchangeable head sculpts with varying expressions, adding a lot of display versatility to the three-pack.

Huey is holding the net accessory here, its wooden handle sculpted with a smooth dowel-like finish that contrasts nicely with the woven mesh of the basket. His red cap sits snugly on his head, and the open-mouthed smile on this particular head sculpt gives him a cheerful, eager expression that’s distinct from the worried look shown in previous renders.

Louie is shown here holding the fishing pole, its brown rod sculpted with a reel and thin line trailing from the tip. He’s also carrying the tackle box, and his green cap and matching hoodie look bright and saturated in this render.

Gizmoduck
Gizmoduck’s design is captured here in full cartoon reference style, with the boxy white armor suit, red coil-spring legs, and single wheel base all looking straight out of the classic DuckTales series. His red “R” chest emblem, teal monitor screen on the torso, and red-and-white helmet with coiled antenna are all present, and the included dust cloud base is shown beneath the wheel.

The black gauntlet-style gloves on each arm feature small colored button details in red, green, and yellow, adding a nice bit of color to the otherwise monochrome limbs. I like how the figure’s orange bill and half-lidded eyes peeking out from beneath the helmet give him that classic Fenton Crackshell personality. The rectangular panel details on his chest armor and the small monitor and button cluster on the lower torso are faithfully translated into the figure design.

The figure is posed here with one arm raised and the other holding what appears to be the included instruction manual accessory, its dark blue cover featuring the red “R” logo. His red coil-spring legs have a nice segmented sculpt to them, and the wheel base sits cleanly atop the puffy white dust cloud effect piece.

This render shows Gizmoduck with what appears to be an alternate interchangeable head featuring a slightly different expression, and one hand is sculpted with a pointed finger gesture. The lavender visor on his helmet and the cross-hatch texture on the tire tread are nice details that come through clearly here.

Huey, Dewey, and Louie are shown riding atop Gizmoduck’s armor, each dressed in their signature red, green, and blue outfits with matching caps. Dewey holds what looks like a phone with a coiled cord, and the trio’s expressive cartoon-accurate face sculpts are a great match for the style of the rest of the line.

This render lays out the full accessory spread for Gizmoduck, including an alternate head with a wide open-mouthed expression, four pairs of interchangeable black hands in various gestures, and the dark blue instruction manual. A figure stand is also included alongside the main figure, which shows off the clean white-and-black color blocking of the armor from a straightforward angle.
