MOTU Chronicles Sky Sled and Ground Ripper Listings Discovered

Mattel’s 2026 Masters of the Universe rollout may be getting even bigger. New retailer listings have surfaced for both a Masters of the Universe Chronicles Sky Sled and a Ground Ripper vehicle, giving collectors another early hint that Mattel is continuing to expand the MOTU vehicle lineup alongside the upcoming movie-era push. The Ground Ripper listing is especially interesting because while the product code appears to line up with the current Masters of the Universe Chronicles series based on how it compares to the Chronicles Sky Sled listing, the item itself is not currently labeled as “Chronicles,” which raises even more questions about where it could ultimately land. With Mattel continuing to put a major emphasis on the kid-focused Core initiative and gameplay-driven features, it is hard to ignore how much potential the Ground Ripper could have in that space as well. That would actually make a lot of sense considering the Core line has already introduced action-feature driven figures like Cannon Transform Trap Jaw and Combat Ready Roboto. We already saw Mattel revisit the Ground Ripper in MOTU Origins, so a kid-focused version with a modernized rip-stick action feature feels like a natural next step. Hopefully Mattel fully embraces the classic gimmick and gives this version an actual rip-stick launcher mechanic.

MOTU Chronicles Sky Sled (JRT41)

The newly discovered Masters of the Universe Chronicles Sky Sled listing carries UPC 194735427659 and product code JRT41, which clearly separates it from the previously revealed Amazon exclusive Core Sky Sled with He-Man that uses UPC 194735377770 and product code JMJ22. The different UPC and product code family strongly suggest this is not simply a duplicated or mislabeled retailer entry. Instead, it appears to represent an entirely separate release.

For a view into a what a MOTU Chronicles Sky Sled could look like, let’s take a look at some images from the MOTU Core line as the vehicle’s overall silhouette has a real speeder bike quality to it, with the elongated nose, front-mounted cannon, and black ski-style runners underneath giving it that hovering scout craft feel. The blue body has a nice metallic sheen, and the gray cockpit windscreen and rear paneling break up the profile well.

@motucollectuk’s low angle here really puts the focus on the Sky Sled’s front end, where the projectile sits locked into the cannon housing beneath the nose. The sculpted rivet detail and panel lines running along the body panels add a mechanical, utilitarian feel to the vehicle’s design.

From the rear, the Sky Sled’s back end shows the compact engine housing with its blue center section and gray rear plating, and the open seat where He-Man straddles the vehicle is clearly defined with enough clearance for his legs to rest on the foot platforms below.

Ground Ripper (JRT39)

The newly discovered Masters of the Universe Ground Ripper listing carries UPC 194735427666 and product code JRT39, which places it in the same newer JRT product family as the MOTU Chronicles Sky Sled. While we do not currently have another Ground Ripper listing to directly compare it against, the shared JRT grouping is still noteworthy because Mattel product codes often cluster together by line or assortment type. Unlike the Chronicles Sky Sled, the Ground Ripper listing does not currently reference Chronicles branding, which could suggest it belongs to a different branch of the 2026 MOTU rollout. If Masters of the Universe continues leaning heavily into the movie and Core initiative this year, there is a strong possibility that the Ground Ripper could ultimately land in the kid-focused Core line. That would make a lot of sense considering the Core assortment has already introduced action-feature driven figures like Cannon Transform Trap Jaw and Combat Ready Roboto. We already saw Mattel revisit the Ground Ripper in MOTU Origins, so a modernized version for younger fans feels like a natural next step. Hopefully Mattel fully embraces the classic gimmick and includes a working rip-stick action feature with the vehicle.
