Possible SDCC 2022 Exclusive MOTU ‘By the Power of Grayskull’ Mega Construx Set

As we covered back in May when new Masters of the Universe Mega Construx mini figures were leaked and posted on the Official Mega Construx site (then taken down), we saw the mini figs we speculated that would come with recently launched MEGA Snake Mountain plus two other He-Man and Prince Adam figures! The puzzle is solved so to speak but are we looking at a possible leak of a Mega Construx 2022 SDCC exclusive? We could be as Mattel is planning to reveal 12 NEW SDCC exclusives as part of their 12 Days of Fandom leading up to San Diego Comic Con 2022. Before we dive into the new set, here are the images that were leaked back in May that showed more of an animated cell shading versions of both Prince Adam and He-Man!
Animated Cell Shaded Prince Adam and He-Man
Prince Adam Comparisons: Again, expect a recoloring for pretty much every aspect of this newer, cell shaded version of Prince Adam! His vest looks like a lighter and there are dark gray and purple markings all over the figure, which is a similar treatment they are giving He-Man. The face sculpt is also different as the Revelation Prince Adam has more of a scowl on his face. As we noted earlier when the mini figures were revealed, we expected this figure to also be from the Revelation line but are unsure where he fits into the grand scheme of things but now we know!
He-Man Comparisons: There have been several He-Man mini figures released for the line but expect different color boots, cuffs, loin cloth, belt, and as you can see, the Power Sword! Upon closer inspection and seeing this figure side by side with a previous version of He-Man, it looks like the newer version has been rolling around in the mud so it will be interesting to see how this turns out in actual plastic! The chest harness design of the symbol is that of the Revelation line so it will be interesting to see how deep they go!
Possible SDDC Exclusive ‘By the Power of Grayskull’ Set
As we’ve seen in previous San Diego Comic Con’s, the Mega Construx line down to participate and make exclusives. In fact, the Battle Bones set that came out for SDCC 2019 was pretty amazing! Thanks to yo_tengo_el_poder (once again) and via the Mega Construx Unboxed website, we have pics of what could be one of the exclusives that is going to be revealed in the coming week! As we know, the Mega Construx line has produced Skeletor Heads with mini figures packed with them and it looks like they are expanding into larger sets that are still compact. This looks like the transformation sequence as Prince Adam turns into He-Man dubbed ‘By the Power of Grayskull.’
This set appears to be a diorama as it features the front portion of Castle Grayskull as a build! It would be amazing if the set actually came with the lightning bolts that transformed Prince Adam to He-Man but don’t get your hopes up lol!
The set has a mysterious gray circular knob on on the left side, which we are assuming will raise and lower the door on Castle Grayskull. It’s cool that the set sits on a bricks stacked 5 high to give it more of a presenence.
The box looks like it is a fold out diorama to complete the look of Castle Grayskull, which gives it a very cool look and feel.
